I’m good at picking things up with my toes (for someone with two functioning hands). I struggled coming out of quarantine because I’d reach for things with my feet and realize I was wearing shoes. I use it to clean things up when I’m lazy. Pick it up with my toes, pass it to my hands, and put it away!
I like sewing! I learnt to sew when i was about 7 and its my favourite hobby, i make lots of stuff to sell and made my biggest project a massive 5ft long godzilla plush recently, its also a useful skill to fix clothes and buttons
I can recognize a song I've only heard once before as familiar within a few seconds, sometimes less than a second, even just with a drum or bass. If I know the song any better than that, I can 1) name it instantly and 2) sing along with it nearly perfectly. Separately, I can also kinda generate a countermelody or harmony to a song and sing those sometimes when I'm bored. I also have perfect timing (not perfect pitch sadly) and can keep a beat until my foot falls off. I can subdivide into pretty much any number, and I've memorized the backing part of cups (not with cups, but I can clap in a way that mimics the exact noises and I have it down to the exact beats).
In short, I'm a tenor in choir.
Secondarily and much less interestingly, I'm very good with animals. I have a lot of strong intuition surrounding animal body language and animals tend to really like me, and I'm very good at dog training. Not nearly as cool as... anything I've mentioned other than it, but hey dogs are nice
I’m really good at making a good cup of tea. It took a bit to get the right milk to tea ratio in my earl grey, but now I’ve got it just right
I can whistle incredibly high notes.
I can plug in a USB drive the right way up first time around. It's totally effortless but I look at other people taking 5 tries and it seems perhaps it's a rarer skill than I imagined.
A wonderful skill that is rapidly becoming useless due to new plug shapes.
cracking my ears and elbow
I can make a fish out of a dollar. It cheers people up when I tell them they get to keep the fish 5 I just made. It's not much but it's a simple skill that brings a simple smile. I hate seeing people upset
I have a lot of random knowledge saved up. Comes in handy more than you may think!
Ooo same! I don't think of myself as much of a knower of things but if you ask me a random trivia question, I will definitely know it.
I can figure out a movie just by hearing a random line or the song...
Dads in the living room watchin tv, i walk in casually and say while walkin away 'is that avengers or what ever he be watchin lol'
i can bend the top of my fingers, just the top, on all of my fingers. i can post a picture in comments if i get unbanned
This is pretty normal, but I can make chocolate chip cookies. I like to bake but I'm too lazy to go to the store and find other stuff, so it's normally chocolate chip cookies for my family. Are there any recipes you guys recommend?
Both are boring but I’m really good with hair and children. So one thing is that I did most of my friend’s hair for prom/graduation and help save them some time and money.
Also children I’m just naturally good at making friends with that sounds kinda creepy but it helps because sometimes they have issues that they can’t exactly go to their parents for. So I’m basically like the cool aunt for all my adopted kids 🤷🏻♀️
Picking out the most dysfunctional manchild from a group of ordinary looking men and not realizing for several months of dating.
