have a code you send to loved ones when ur in trouble. better if its something short and/or can be percieved as normal.

for example: say suppose theres a situation u wanna get out of

you text a loved one with "hey hows it going" but u sneak in a code. it could be the sparkle emoji maybe, because you can use it in almost any situation.

so the sparkle emoji is your saving grace cuz now ur loved one knows ur in trouble

Create a Family Emergency Plan and do a few practice runs with and without your kids and pets. Ensure your pet's training includes quick evacuation, recall, quiet, and other potentially life-saving commands. Have a get-home bag and First Aid kit in your vehicle and a bugout bag for each family member (including pets).

It may sound extreme but being stranded with your kids and dog on the side of the road and unable to open electric windows sucks. The water, snacks, and weather gear you pre-packed could save a life.

Yeah ... just started to get Gina to being used to being picked up. Not that I wanna do that often, but I don't want to train her to accept it when it's crucial that it works. She doesn't like it so far, but she likes the treats I have located on the next-to-bed-shelf. So, there's a point we can start at, at least...
