Simple! Tell us what you were like as a kid, and if you still are a kid, tell us what you are like now!

According to a lot of people I’m the same person as I was as a kid except I used to be irrational and I was more emotional then

By kid I mean before I became a teen. I hope I manage to stop crying and to be able to speak in a socially acceptable manner which doesn’t sound too rude and not too sugar coated

I used to daydream a LOT. So much that my parents were worried sometimes. I liked dragons and Care Bears and horses. I used to tell my little sisters stories that I made up for hours.
I was a pale, skinny little kid because I was sick a lot and it took years for my parents to figure out why. I cried a lot, but I also used to bounce when I was happy.😂

    Little me was so innocent.

I was a quiet kid, except when I was very quiet, except when I was with my friends! I loved reading and read chapter books by the time I was in grade 1 (second year of school), which became a problem when I changed schools, because apparently only grade 3s were allowed to read chapter books (my mum fought them on this). I didn't have many friends when I changed schools, and spent most of my lunch and recesses in the sandpit with my brother and next-door neighbour, or walking with the teacher on yard duty. Outside of school, I was a 'tomboy', loved climbing trees and spent most of my time with my brother and neighbour in the parkland next door, climbing, lighting camp fires and exploring. I always loved art and still do. I learned a lot about it from my grandmother, but since leaving school haven't spent as much time on it so haven't improved as much as I would have liked. I grew apart from my brother as a teen, but now he is one of my best friends. I wanted to be an artist, writer, or teacher when I was a kid and when I 'grew up' I got my bachelor's degree in education and have worked as a primary and preschool teacher and now work in after school care, so I guess I achieved my dream. My social anxiety let me down a lot as a kid and when mum forced me to pick an after school activity in the hopes it would help, I would do it for a term or two before quitting because I hadn't made any friends. Unfortunately, except in high school, this issue has just gotten worse, though I have three friends I made in highschool/uni I still keep in contact with regularly.
