While this didn’t save me, this most likely save 6+ of my friends. If you’re caught a current dragging you backwards, don’t swim straight back towards the beach, swim to the side until you are out of the current and then start swimming back towards the beach. This will use les energy and is much more effective then swimming against the current.
Tides can also change very fast, we have a 6’ 1” girl in our group and she went from her waist to over her head in less than five seconds, so make sure to pay attention.

If u are drowning in a pool, and are getting tired. Take a deep breath and drop down. Calm your self then launch yourself at an angle up and to the shallow or a wall.

Hardest part is staying calm :3🍩

Or flip over onto your back and take a deep breath. You'll be able to float for a bit, probably long enough to get your breath back and swim over to an edge. Learn how to float before learning how to swim.

If you’re ever in a sketchy situation, get to a place with people and visible security cameras. Also, always share your location and don’t walk alone anywhere downtown. I lived in the hood for 7 years and this saved my butt for a few possible kidnappings and beatdowns

That some people will just attempt to push you off a ladder just for the heck of it.
(Also, I thought ‘what weird fact might have saved your life’ sounded ominous… emphasis on the ‘Might have’ 😅 it sounded like a lot of us pandas are dead now… /j)

As someone whose dad almost died falling off a ladder (instilling a lifelong fear of ladders within me) the fact that somebody would just purposely come around and knock me off a ladder just for the heck of it is now a new level added to my initial fear. Thank you SO much for that! So appreciate.

…Before I say this, I once got in a small bit of trouble for a misunderstanding on my friends part. Anyway, it’d probably be that I make self detrimental jokes, and my one friend noticed one and told my mum, and she wasn’t concerned (knowing her own humor) and it was explained, and was kinda forgotten for the most part.
