I was going through a sudden and nasty divorce. He had renewed the lease to our apartment 2 weeks before he left. I had no body in the state that could help me move or entire apartment while he was staying with his grandparents.

So I was working 10 hour days and moving at night (by myself) because I had to be out ASAP. I was BEYOND stressed. I wasn’t eating, drinking, or sleeping nearly enough.

About a week of this, and I was starting to act drunk/high at work, (I did not do any drugs or drink any alcohol at that time). My back was killing me and I was hallucinating. I had lost probably 15 pounds in a week as well and my skin was this waxy yellow color. It got so bad I was sent home from work.

Two of my coworkers, came by to check on me. At that point I was holding and talking to my shoe as a phone. They brought me to the ER.

The doctor there sedated me, and demanded to know what drugs I was taking because my drug test came back clean. I told him all of my prescriptions and he still didn’t believe me. The hospital called the police to interview my coworkers, again they told them I was having a really tough time but no drugs. The doctor decided that “ I had just gone crazy “ and had me sign a form to commit myself. As the ambulance pulls up to transfer me to the psych facility, another doctor (nephrologist, I believe) runs in a stops the transfer. I was in complete kidney failure, hours away from death.

Apparently when you don’t eat, drink, sleep take ADHD med, and beta blockers (for blood pressure) It can shut down your kidneys fast. I was acting the way I was because I had so much toxins in my body. Thank goodness I didn’t not need dialysis or a transplant.

My family was camping by a river with extended family. We camped there often and loved to play in the water. My siblings and I were playing in the river a ways down from our campsite and tried to cross at one point. The rocks were very slick and all three of us slipped and fell into the water which was running faster than we thought. All three of us were swept down river. We were grabbing branches frantically trying to slow, stop, or pull ourselves out. My older sib was able to pull themself out and then ran down the bank grabbed my hand and pulled me out just as my youngest sib floated rapidly by. We ran further down and were able to get ahead and pull them out. We all just sat down for a good half hour on the river bank to catch our breath. It was just us three that knew about it. I don’t even think, if I remember correctly, that we told my parents how we almost all drowned. Fast forward about 12 years later I was rafting a river with my boyfriend and several other friends. My boyfriend hit a log jam in some rapids and was able to stand up and brace himself. I was right behind him and I went under. I felt my legs getting scraped up by the trees and branches and then I felt my boyfriends hand around my wrist. He pulled me so hard my wrist was luckily only sprained, but he was able to pull me up out of the water. My older sibling and my ex boyfriend both saved me from drowning. I don’t go into rivers anymore.

On another story, back in the US, me and my family were driving through our neighborhood when ever I mom started telling us about how there was some guy that was wanted in our area, so naturally we thought like normal, ¨wow... not like we are going to see him, just as we turn around the next corner, guess who we see booking it down the side walk, a man perfectly matching the description, and in tow were around seven cops guns drawn and shooting at this guy, and 2 police dogs practicality choking themselves on their leads. of course this guy decides to run in front of our car. he hopped a fence. they caught him 2:00 that night/ reference: we live in Houston and Harris county happened around the 2018/2017 time. we live in Texas so I was surprised this guy wasn't shot yet
