My cat died a week ago. It happened when we were visiting friends for a couple of hours. She was old and needed meds so when we came home I went looking for her. She was not in any of her usual spots and I didn't even see her in her hideout place (she hated taking the meds). So I went pspsps because when she was in earshot, she would always answer. I hear her go meow? from the hideout and went back to look further (storage space behind our suitcases). Finally found her. She had been dead for hours. But I reckon she wanted to make sure I found her.

Why being Autistic ostracises me. I just perceive the world differently. Please try and meet us halfway.

My 15year do is Autistic, he's just applied for college with support there if needed. He has also applied to a college that doesn't have support as he wants to try to be independent. I am the one who is worried for him and how others will perceive him as he has been in special needs schools. He has 3 older siblings (17,27 and 28) who tell me it's he's life!! He knows Im worried but says he has to try things and of course I've told him I support him with any of he's choices!! He's so brave and so are all of you who live with autism!!! Sorry went on abit then!!

There seems to be a lot of us autistic panda's. I am also an introvert so I'm ok with not blending. I do sometimes wish I could lose the feeling of always being on the outside, looking in tho.

this is not the definition of the thread. "inexplicable : unable to be explained or accounted for." This is entirely explainable. it makes other people uncomfortable when we act the way we do. now Im older and dont give a f**k anymore. wish I felt that way 30 years ago when it mattered more to me

I was toing and froing about posting. but no, it is inexplicable to me. I was brought up at a time when ASD wasn't recognised by medical professionals. I was clearly showing obvious signs, suffering alone, with a condition that was inexplicable to me, let alone everyone else. It all dawned on me by being diagnosed at 45. things won’t change, I’ll die with this. Fortunately, I’ve a wife who I’ve been with for 30 years. Unlike neurotypicals who think it's just a 'word', she has learnt to cope with me being neurodivergent, or ‘different’ to other people. She's the only person I can unmask with. FYI, worked in my last job for 17 years, once diagnosed I told my manager, within weeks it was orchestrated by management to force me to quit. coincidence? That's been my 'Most Inexplicable Experience' to date. There's been many.

I saw someone who looked exactly like my dead stepfather, drive past us when we were leaving our house to move in with our new stepfather. Almost like his ghost checking on us to see if we were ok. Freaky.

I think a lot of people have a doppelganger, I saw mine when I was 16 and living in Australia. We were both shopping in Woolworth's. I'm not sure if she saw me but I was too shaken to speak. I sometimes wonder if she still looks like me, 57 years later.

This happened three times with three different people.

I grew up in 2-story house in the Philippines. Upstairs, there was a huge playroom, and 4 bedrooms. When I was around 11 years old, me and my babysitter were hanging out in the playroom. She went to the bathroom, and I got bored so I went downstairs to check out the fridge. I heard her come out of the bathroom, and she started screaming my name. After the 3rd time, she stopped. I thought she figured out that I was downstairs. After a few minutes, I saw her coming down the stairs. As she looked at me, she froze and just stared at me. I asked her what's wrong, and she said she just saw me in the playroom before she went downstairs. She was really freaked out about it, and I don't know--I used to not believe in these things so I just laughed at her.

The second time it happened, I was probably 16. I was hanging out at my brother's room cause it's the room with the fastest internet. And then I heard my 6-year old brother (I have 2 brothers) calling me and looking around for me, I didn't answer back and just waited for him to find me. I saw him go in my room, and then he got quiet. I thought he was looking for something and just found it. As he was walking out of my room, he saw me in my brother's room, and he just froze and stared like my babysitter. I asked him what's wrong and he said, "Why are there 2 of you?" And that's when I freaked out and ran to my mom's room. She laughed at us, but I remember sleeping in her room that night.

The last time it happened was when I was 20. My parents went on vacation with my youngest brother, so me and my other siblings had to stay at my grandparents night. The first night they were away, me and my sister decided to go home and get more clothes. We were both in my room, cause she likes to borrow some of my clothes, and I told her that I'm going to take a shower. That's when she left and went to her room to pack more clothes. I went to the bathroom, and started brushing my teeth. As I was about to get in the shower, my sister walked in the bathroom, and she looked at me so weirdly. And her face turned pale, so I asked her what's wrong. She said she went back to my room and she was talking to me, but then she had to pee so she went to the bathroom and found me there. We both looked at each other, grabbed our stuff, and left.

I still don't know why or what it is, but it still creeps me out when I think about it.

I was leaving my weekend job one day, and was about to go home, but I felt like something was telling me to go check my cows at a pasture in the opposite direction. There was no reason to go, because I had just been there a day or two earlier, but I went anyway. I drove up to the gate, and I could see the cows on the opposite side of the pasture.

Everything looked fine, and I was about to leave, but again it seemed like something was telling me to drive over to them. I did, and discovered that someone had driven off the road and through the fence, and then drove off, leaving a large opening in the fence. The cattle were near the opening, and if I hadn't discovered it they likely would have found it and been out on the busy road within an hour or so.

I'm not saying it was divine intervention, but I don't have a better explanation. Nothing like that had ever happened to me before, or since.

One day, I was walking through a small town in Poland (I'm Czech but I live on the border, but I digress). There is a local landmark - a well that has something to do with the legend about the town's founders. As I passed the landmark, I saw a guy sitting on the edge of the well (which is forbidden).
The guy looked pretty young (possibly a teen), looked vaguely Asian and he was wearing that red-and-yellow Tibetian monk robe. Perched on his shoulder was a rather large white rat. He looked like he was cosplaying Avatar Aang, with the rat substituting Momo.
We made a brief eye contact and then I just kept walking. The whole experience wasn't paranormal or anything like that, but given that it happened in a small conservative town, I was utterly bewildered. Just... Avatar Aang sitting on the edge of a well with no explanation.

Years ago, when my children were very young, we had somewhere we had to go very early the next morning. I told the children to make sure they knew where their shoes were because we wouldn't have time to hunt for them in the morning. Everyone went to bed, my husband was working 3rd shift. When I woke up the next morning I walked out to the living room and EVERY shoe in the house was buckled or tied together in a pile in the middle of the room. I called my hubby at work to ask the very stupid question of "you didn't come home in the middle of the night to do something weird with our shoes did you?" No, he hadn't. No one ever figured out how that happened.

Not as creepy but, my husband's wedding ring disappeared. We figured it was in the house. I'm a clean freak so furniture was moved regularly to vacuum. Cushions tossed. Couple, 5 years go by. We'd hit a rough patch in our marriage and during a particularly mean spirited argument, the ring was "just there", slightly under the couch. The gold caught the light and I saw it. This spot would have been vacuumed hundreds of times since the ring was lost. I was half tempted to toss it in the fireplace to see if it was the One Ring. We reconciled for a year based on that find. A miracle. A sign. Unfortunately, his precious, drugs, ended our marriage.

So sorry this happened to you. This also happened to me, not drugs but he was a very cruel man, not physically, but mentally and emotionally. I only put up with it for three years. I might tell my story on BP someday. I don't know if you remarried, I did and we celibate our 46th anniversary in April.

Usually at night when I am in bed I hear strange noises because my house is old and also historic. So one night before I went to bed ( It was like ten or eleven ) I hear this weird noise and I thought it was coming from the fridge right outside my bedroom but I walked outside and it was turned off. I was confused and walked back into my bedroom finding my closet and bathroom door were open even though I left them closed. That night all I heard was footsteps throughout my whole house. It was creepy.

In the 70's, my car had something wrong with it, so I took it to the shop. The car was up on a lift. The mechanic invited me to the pit under the lift to show me the problem (crazy I know). While under there, the car started to move forward and down towards us. There was no place to go! I stepped forward and put my hands on the bumper and pushed.

The car stopped and just hung there! The mechanic and I looked at each other and said "whoa, what just happened! ". I know there's a reasonable answer, like maybe the emergency brake kicked in, but it sure seemed spooky at the time.

OK this is definitely not real. It's literally in twilight and I haven't even read/seen twilight.

My mom worked evenings for a company, and my dad and I frequently take her dinner. The building had a VERY distinct smell. Fast forward 30 years. I have a daughter and my mom passed only a few months later. Just before my daughters first birthday I take her to a store to buy her an outfit for her bday. The store my mom used to randomly take me to (on the expensive side, so it was a treat, we didn’t go too often). So I look for an elevator bc my daughter was in a stroller, I get in, the door closes and there was an OVERWHELMING smell of my mom’s old job building. I wasn’t scared, I just said hi mom. When I got back in the elevator later, the smell wasn’t there.

When I was in my mid-30’s and newly married, my grandfather had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s. He lived halfway across the country, but he had been able to come out for a visit just before the wedding so he could meet my husband (fiancé at the time) before his illness advanced too much. We had a wonderful time, my grandfather had been in the Navy in the mid-50’s and my husband was able to take him in a tour around the base since he hadn’t seen it since then. Almost a year after his visit, I woke up sobbing from a very vivid dream where he told me he was going on a trip and just stopped by to say goodbye; that he would see me later and to take care of my young man. My husband, after calming me down, suggested I call my mom to see if anything had happened. Everything was fine so I chalked it up to a stress dream and moved on. About a week and a half later, we were notified that his condition had taken a turn for the worse. His Parkinson’s was more on the dementia side and his cognitive skills were suddenly declining rapidly. He still lived for another five years but we all agreed it was no longer him. He became very childlike and asked after his parents a lot. I did eventually tell my mother about the dream and she cried and said she was sure he knew his time was coming and he wanted to say goodbye while his mind was still here. Miss you, Papa.

My grandfather died, when I was just a baby. After his death, his best friend came almost every day, to bring milk (strange, why milk? 😅😅) with an orange fox on the box, and to look, if everything is alright with the family. We all all loved him. For me, he was my grandfather. He died, when I was 12 or 13.
Now I'm 26 and dreamed of him. It felt sooo real. As if he was really there.
The next morning I told my aunt about it... She had the same dream.
Looks, like Grandpa Peter visited us, for checking, if everything is still okay.💜 Like he did, when my aunt was a young girl and I was a child. 💜💜

When I was 10, I was walking home from a friend's house (not a long walk at all, they were just 5 houses up from mine) and I heard a high-pitched sweeping sound as a red light shone down on me. I have no idea what this was really. Also, I do believe aliens have visited the Earth before, but I also believe that they are smart enough n have advanced enough technology to make themselves completely undetectable to us, so unless they were testing how I'd react, and are currently monitoring me while im writing this, possibly scribbling down a bunch of notes, something like "Subject still remembers the encounter, suspects it to be the work of extraterrestrials" or something, I dont think it was Aliens.

this is nonsense. If aliens were advanced enough to do all of this, there is zero reason for them to talk to or interact with us. As a species and society we are incredibly backwards and unadvanced. Aliens have not been here. IF they were, we would be eradicated as we would be seen as pests.

A building made of doors disappeared from existence and everyone's memory. I know it was real.
