I personally watched hours and hours of Markiplier playing horror games. Not the most healthy way of spending my time, but it kept me from going insane. I'm curious to know how you guys stayed sane and happy!

I never got time to spend time with my parents because of their busy schedules. Finally, we got to spend time together as a family because of the lockdowns. Painting, and gardening kept me sane too.

Grocery shopping every 2 weeks for my 84 year old mom & dad. I learned so much about her meal planning style, their likes and dislikes, it was great! And after I delivered we'd sit outside in rockers and talk for hours. I treasure that time and can't believe we hadn't done it before!!

I agree! Was it also harder for you to leave the house after quarantine?

Our yard. (And everything in it) i would go out into the yard just to star gaze at night. It felt good. I would talk and pray about anything and everything, I would dance, practice my flips, and play with my dogs. It gave me a purpose to get my to do list done.

Quarantine did not change my lifestyle one bit. I worked through it, came home, shopped for food/necessities. Nothing changed

I kept a journal for the first few months. The schools were closed & my 3 kids were home with me but my husband was still able to work. I wrote down whatever we did that day (like baking cinnamon rolls together), notes from the news, how I was feeling & even what I cooked for meals. I don't know why. It helped my anxiety, though, to mark the days this way so that they didn't all blur together. My favorite memory during it was the warm, early spring weather & seeing my kids play & laugh in the small yard while I sketched the scenery in my journal.

It gave me more time to spend painting with my son. He's four, so it was a lovely and messy time!

You are assuming I was sane before quarantine but writing and online classes were my go to.

Instead of focusing on things that I couldn't control I decided it was time to focus on things I could control. I have a lot of health issues and I needed to refocus myself so I decided to take control of my weight. I joined Weight Watchers and I lost 70lbs. I lost the weight in less then a year and I've been maintaining it.
