What song artist or singer do you think gets praised too much either for auto tune or stupid lyrics? Hold nothing back, we won’t judge!

Beyoncé - never understood the hype
I totally agree. Her voice is good, but nothing special. She doesn't write or composed her own music or lyrics. And her music isn't anything that is going to stand the test of time. Despite this, everyone fawns over her like she is some musical goddess. All she really has going for her are good looks and a music mogul husband.
Anything by Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande (Especially that rip-off of All My Favorite Things), or the recent Dua Lipa songs. Don’t come after me lol
olivia rodrigo. she's a great composer, but not a great songwriter. considering her idol is taylor swift, a lyrical genius, she could be doing a lot better based on the music she often listens to.
I can't really pick one. A ton of them nowadays use auto tune and have stupid lyrics.
Don’t come at me for this one. I like her music sometimes but only when I feel like listening to it. Olivia Rodrigo. Yes I know a lot of people like her but I feel like she super overrated and overhyped. Again don’t come at me! I prefer older chill songs okay?
Beyonce. Nothing really groundbreaking. Rihanna > Beyonce.
Drake. What a tool.
U2. Two good songs and that's it.
Notorious BIG. Every single beat, rhyme, and instrumental was sampled from a song in the 70s and 80s. Nothing original. The rap lyrics were dope so I'll give him that.
Bob Dylan. Great song writer but lacks spice with the instrumentals.
I disagree wholeheartedly on U2. They have many good songs. As for Dylan, his power was song writing during a very tumultuous time in America. His music really struck a chord with listeners during this cultural upheaval. And that's the socio-political/cultural dimension of his music, then you have to consider how he and many other artists were ushering in rock n roll to a very rigid society and music business that, for example, would only show Elvis from the waist up only a few years earlier.
i can't even give an answer because all the women sound the same so i don't know who's singing what. we need some unique singers like Cher, Tina or Dolly. you recognized them the instant the first line was sung.
Have you ever listened to Melanie Martinez? She had a unique voice, and has such a recognizable style.
Dixie D'amelio
She dose not belong in the music industry :)
Please do not send an angry mob after me.
Enter Sandman, Freebird, Tears in Heaven, Hotel California, Imagine. If I never heard these songs again, I'd be fine with that.
Metallica just isn't thrash metal anymore. What's with the ballads?
Harry Styles don't come for me
Travis Scott, Shania Twain, Taylor Swift, Mick Jagger, Madonna, and I better stop here before I end up hurting someone's feelings 😁
Sam Hunt
Kane Brown
Any country artist that 'talks' more the sings.
Please don't downvote me into oblivion, but... The Beatles. I'm not saying they're bad, it's just, I don't understand why they're considered to be the "best" in their genre. They're good, just not as good as most people think
I'm not a fan of most mainstream music. It's nice and all, but to me it feels it lacks soul
👏Car👏Di👏B👏
Cardi B.
She cant drive, but the has
several luxury cars.
She cant rap, but she has multiple platinum songs.
(please dont hate me)
Harry Styles. Olivia Rodrigo. Lizzo. Doja Cat. Drake. Taylor Swift. Maroon 5. Imagine Dragons.
I can go on and on…
Taylor swift, Katy Perry, don’t hunt me with pitchforks. We need more singers like Halsey and Melanie Martinez. Their songs are crazy, relatable, and amazing to listen to.
Never heard of Halsey or Melanie Martinez, i've heard of the other two but not a fan of them either lol
Any mainstream music tbh. Classical music needs more recognition. To the people who think that classical music is boring, listen to Shostakovich’s String Quartet No.8. It is so exhilarating, especially the second movement.

I prefer his jazz suite, waltz no. 2, and just about anything by Tchaikovsky
