The scent is one of the best connections to our past. Certain smells can evoke memories even from the youngest points of our lives.

Personally mine is vanilla bean. My mom had a perfume that smelled like vanilla and whenever I smell vanilla I think of my mom. ✨

    Not my home, but where I work.

    Though we have to wear masks due to the mandate, I love waking into work and smelling the familiar scents of school when I was a kid.

    There’s just something about older schools that walk me back through time when life was so much simplier. Maybe it’s the food that you can smell baking in the cafeteria, the old books in the media center/library or polish the custodians use on the floor. It makes me so happy just to walk through the door and get a whiff of that old smell.
