I mean more like fixes to problems in life than medical cures. I have heard that bats eat mosquitos, and possums eat ticks. There is also a kind of mycelium or fungus that gets rid of ant invasions.

Planting lavender is supposed to scare off mosquitoes.

Sage for any minor issues with the respiratory system. Boiling water, dried sage, bit of honey. Works better for me than any OTC medication.

This is a legitimate treatment, albeit hard to find. I'm glad he is finding some relief!

My daughter developed plantar warts - loads of them. I gave her a dose of the homeopathic remedy, Thuja occidentalis. They started falling off her feet over a period of weeks. I kid you not!

Hi OP, medical student here. I know I will get downvoted but I'm going to be diplomatic here. Without knowing the exact concentration of your homeopathic treatment, most homeopathic 'cures' are just water. Warts fall off on their own and homeopathy has no evidence from science saying it works for anything except placebo. If it's expensive, I suggest you don't buy more as they do basically nothing. Please don't use them to treat anything serious either. Thank you :)

Plants of the Viola family, especialy sweet violets or wild wooly violets (the names are interchangeable in some areas) are great for urinary health and respiratory infections or inflammation. I collect the flowers and use in an infusion for my children, whom both have urinary retention. It has cut down on the amount of UTIs. As my daughter also has asthma it is doubly useful.

Flannel Mullein is a wonderful anti-inflammatory and effective on joint pain. Soak the leaves then wrap the wet leaves on the afflicted joint. You can also make a cream or salve with them to use on joint or bruises. It is good for respiratory tract congestion when used as a tea.

Please be careful when taking any herbs internally. Make sure you have collected from areas that have not received any pesticides or herbicides (or any other 'cides' there may be).

Vinegar is a miracle for burns. I’ve had blistered burns that I applied vinegar to immediately after getting the burn, that completely stopped hurting in less than three days. It’s absolutely amazing. You just have to keep the vinegar wet against the burn until that burning sensation stops.

For the loose poops, stomach cramps, dehydration: large piece of root ginger (grated), hefty tablespoon of raw honey, boil in just over 1 1/2 litres water until it boils down to 1 litre. Drink all. Can also be frozen and reheated. Works a charm

For dandruff/ sore or itchy scalp: lavender, eucalyptus, tee tree, lemon and orange essential oils. Mix all together, or even just one or two. They absolutely need to be diluted with a carrier oil, caster, baby, olive etc.
For every tablespoon of oil, add 3 drops of each oil. Heat in microwave for about 15 secs, with gloves, massage into scalp and all through hair. Leave on for 30 mins, wash, condition and rinse. Only do once a week. Seriously shiny, naturally perfumed, flake free hair.

Cystitis: cranberry juice, garlic capsules, rest, heat, probiotic yoghurt (to be taken internally and applied to the area)… I cannot stress enough, this regime should be used with an antibiotic in severe cases

Yucky flaky yellowish toes?? Easy peasy!! ..just takes a lil effort. Wash and file the nail as straight as possible. Get yourself some tea tree oil, and also eucalyptus oil if you can. Combine in a clean small receptacle with a large amount of Vaseline. Depending on the size of receptacle you use, 3/4 Vaseline, the rest oil. Mix, it’ll get quite watery. Apply with a quip/cotton bud, make sure to get under the nail too. Apply to the nail as often as possible, even after the fungus clears up. The mixture is reusable once it’s not contaminated, so you can make a big if needed. I tried this, it works, just takes time, (2 weeks for me)

I have a few, but this one needs caution!!! ACV is incredible. I use it for more than salad dressing. I had a mole on my arm that was teeny, but got angry and open after an ill conceived attempt at lazer hair removal. I have had 3 moles removed and do not take this lightly. This mole was basically the size of a pen dot, a full stop. Anything more, go to a doctor!!!!
Basically, soaked a cotton pad in ACV bandaged it over the mole, twice daily for about 2 hours at a time. After about 3 weeks, it dried up and disappeared. It did sting, and stunk.. but worked.
Never to be used or large or misshapen moles. Ever!!

I find that if you don’t have lotion if you rip up a leaf and dip it in water it can help with itching. Also you can use flower petals or leaves as bandaids
