This is optional so you don’t need to answer but I would still appreciate it if you did cause I have had long-term anxiety for like 5 months and it hasn’t gone away so give me some ideas!

My pet parrot. He's so affectionate and genuinely happy when I'm back home.

Plus: good sleep, correct diet & regular exercise. You are able to deal much better with stress if your mind is clear and your body is in shape.

    1. Long hot shower.
    2. Warm cup of tea or a Mountain dew soda (depends on the time of year)
    3. Curl up with a good book, alternating with naps and YouTube.

Turn off the phone or put it on vibrate. Let folks know you are *unavailable* for a while.

Alternately, if you have green space go take a walk.

    =Self care. Works wonders.

Wish I knew....., but there's no easy answers beyond getting proper professional help..... Do it when you're young, cause that sht just festers in your soul till you just withdraw from the world..... Believe me you don't want that!!!! Although I'm pretty satisfied with my life, I guess, (I washed my hands of society a long time ago) but the loneliness of anxiety can be hell...... Talk to someone, any one you trust.. ( that's important, someone you TRUST....) Hope it helps... Anxiety sucks!!!!

I come home. My wife and my Bulldog are there for me. A glass of wine together. All I need.
Playing some games on my Switch relaxes me too after a long day.

Short term: lose yourself in your favorite book or movie, hot tea, hot shower, music
Long term: talk to someone continuously and have them check up on you, get a pet, professional help

I know how hard this is, and I feel like the "grass is greener" and "it'll get better" can be complete bs, but I like to tell myself that I got through today, tomorrow is another one. It may not be better, it my not be worse. I will have ups and downs, but I can get through this.
