We all have those times. Maybe your brother threw up on your lap, or maybe a parent forgot something important? Comment down below!

I'll start since I created this. My unforgettable moment was when my family went to Zion National Park and I got my beautiful hiking partner Horndurress. You can see him in one of my other posts.

One time I was super bored and I came up with a joke. I told it and the whole car burst out laughing.

My entire family of five had gone to visit my dad’s relatives like three states away, (I think for the funeral of his aunt, but I don’t entirely remember). Anyway, the trip had already had a ton of problems (including getting our van towed with all of our stuff inside, which my parents had to pay with using our theme park money), and we were finally making our way back home.

We're driving down the highway, and my brother is working on his summer school homework (it was optional because he wanted to go to summer school for fun and not due to any obligation), and I’m being the typical bratty little sister to him. He then threatened to throw my toy out of the window, causing me to start crying, and our dad to freaking snap.

In one fail swoop, he snatched my brother’s binder from out of his lap and tossed it out of the window. None of us saw this coming, as my dad is not an angry person or prone to actions like this (though road trips and visiting his family are known to stress him out greatly). He then pulled onto the side and told my brother to go get his binder. The whole time my mom is looking back at me and my sister and telling us not to laugh at our brother, as dad threatened to drive off without him if he didn’t hurry up.

In January 1998, I had orders to Ft Bliss, Texas. Since my kids hadn't seen much of the country prior to this and we had plenty of time, we drove. (Two adults, 3 kids, a German Shepherd/Chow mix. a cat and a cockatiel in a Geo Metro. Seriously.) From where we're originally from (Athens PA) just to Texarkana TX is over 1300 miles.
Three days into the trip, we hit the Arkansas/Texas line and a big old sign says WELCOME TO TEXAS. The kids are all excited!
We're almost there...and then, another mile down the highway is another sign: EL PASO 814 MILES.
