The holiday season is upon us, and no matter what you celebrate, the music spreads joy amongst everyone! So, what song ignites the holiday spirit in you?

It's a tie:
Fairytale of New York - The Pogues
Auld Lang Syne - Die Roten Rosen (aka Die Toten Hosen)
Grandma got run over by a reindeer by Elmo and Patsy, it’s a song that never fails to make me laugh, it’s so ridiculous it’s hilarious, and Santa’s gonna kick your a*s by the Arrogant Worms, holy c**p that song is so funny.
I'm not a traditional christmas music listener. I am a weirdo and I doubt you know any of these trash songs but either "The saddest time of the year" by Spooner, or "3 candles" by Dolly Parton. No wait. I definitely listen to more versions of "Last Christmas" more than anything. Yes. The original one, the one by Lauren Spencer Smith (good Lord, she's amazing), The Braxtons, The Backstreet Boys, Meghan Trainor, Stanaj, Future Islands, Calabasas (
That's hard. My favorite would be a tie between Silver and Gold, and Holly Jolly Christmas both by Burl Ives.
Honorable mentions go to the Miser Brothers from The Year Without a Santa Claus, Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer by Elmo and Patsy, and the entirety of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's The Christmas Trilogy.
"Little Drummer Boy" specifically the Bob Seger version.
"Evergreen" by Pentatonix.
"Down Among the Bushes of Jerusalem" by the Irish Rovers.
It’s a tie between the best one: Marshmallow World by Darlene Love, and the worst one: O Holy Night by Steve W. Mauldin. Mauldin’s rendition is the most spectacularly awful thing I’ve ever heard. It’s a true Xmas miracle!
This is Halloween, specifically the izzy cover. It just feels so alive, and I really need that sometimes.
Also, Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer by Elmo and Patsy because it's funny and I like it more than other Christmas songs because it doesn't have that infuriating racket to it. I don't know how else to describe it.
God rest ye merry gentlemen. Also Christmas is my favorite holiday cause the excitement, music, joy, suspense, and the celebration.
