Nobody seems to know Averil Levigne, except 90's teens. Her music is fantastic, as well as similar artists like the Cranberries.

NFWMB by Hozier. I know he's quite well known but that song really flew under the radar. I get chills every time I hear it. It has such a visceral quality to it while also having some really clever verses based on WB Yeat's The Second Coming. It is a basic song premise done simply but it really is haunting beautiful in literally any live or studio version.

Also for people who like Take Me To Church or Common Tongue by him, it is worth giving Angel of Small Death and the Codeine Scene a listen (yes, that's one song title).

Sorry it's Moment's Silence (Common Tongue) I didn't see that I overwrote the beginning of the title.

Broken Horse by the Freelance Whales. I dare you to have heard of it. It's a beautiful sad song. Though i know it isn't everyone's cup of tea.

I would also put infinitesimal by mother mother though that is more well known. It is the perfect song for a bad day when you need a pick me up

We have a lot of young rock bands in the UK, playing great music. Check out Mason Hill, Massive Wagons, Florence Black, I could go on. Nothing beats live music.

"Perfect" by Jaicko. It's one of my favorite songs because I coined the phrase "I'm perfectly flawed" in 4th grade when a teacher on the first day of school asked us to stand up and introduce ourselves and as I listened to the other kids say things like "funny, athletic, popular, a band geek" and etc I knew none of them fit me as a person and when put on the spot that was what came out of my mouth.

Now there is a Otep song named Perfectly Flawed and back in 2006 I created a bunch of tattoo designs at Newport Tattoo in Newport Beach that all said Perfectly Flawed in different ways and now a lot of people wear my tattoo designs.

Long story short the song I love says "I'll never be perfect. I'll never be cool. I'll always be nothing unless I'm with you. Cause you make me perfect tell me what can I do? The pieces are missing when I'm not with you. You make me so perfect" and that's why I love it. It's been one of my favorite songs since the very first time I heard it.
