Teenage Me Had A Hive And Decided That The Best Way To Stop The Itching Was To Cut Out The Hive
I Tried To Commit Soy Sauce When I Was Three
The story is (I was too young to remember) I was 3 years old and upset about something. I grabbed a knife and yelled, "I'm going to commit soy sauce!" And stabbed myself violently in the wrist. They say time heals all wounds. I guess it's true, or at least the wounds fade and melt into the wrinkles and ravages of time, so they are no longer noticeable. When I was young, the scar was an angry, puckery welt, very noticeable, and people would ask about it. Today I had to look to see if it was even still there.

I have a scar from a molten sugar burn too. On my right index finger. It took forever to heal! I was making English toffee.

Being Superman
I was about 5 when, after watching A Superman cartoon I tied a towel around my neck and went to our front door. I stood in front of our glass storm door and declared, "You can’t make a deal with the man of steel!", then punched the glass as hard as I could. Flying glass gashed the inside of my forearm. That was 53 years ago.

Maturity Is Underrated
Hi all! Enjoyed a Miami Dolphins game so much that the party continued at my parents home. It was a nice windy day so I decided to fly a kite in their backyard which was half brick pavers and pool. Our chocolate lab was chasing me, lots of laughs until I trip over air. Stood up, saw my wrist was bent (like a step) and went to find my Ma. She wasn’t too happy, mostly because I was 28 and utterly shite-faced. The ER loved it lol. That little white dash is one of three places they had to insert pins. Didn’t feel a thing.
I Was Climbing A Dead Tree And The Branch I Was Standing On Broke Under My Foot And Cut My Leg As I Fell
Kinda Hard To See But I Fell On A Thumbtack As A Baby And It's Still There After Fifteen Yrs
i meant twelve but my auto correct thought it was spelt wrong😑
Forty-Odd Years Ago, A Branch I Was Trying To Cut Was Too Bouncy, So I Grabbed On To Steady It. Then The Chainsaw Bounced Off The Branch And Onto My Knuckle
The funny part was, because my Dad was using the "big" chainsaw to cut down the trees that I was cutting branches off of, he couldn't hear me trying to tell him I'd cut myself, so I asked my friend ( who was there playing "sidewalk superintendent" ) to go tell him, while I went inside to wash/disinfect/bandage, etc. Somehow, "James cut his hand" morphed into "James cut his hand OFF", so my Dad comes running into the house, absolutely FREAKED OUT, to find me running cold water over a couple of cuts less than an inch long, completely mystified as to why he's so panicked.

My broken arm scar hides 9 screws and a titanium plate. How'd I get it? Tripped over a cat and bounced into the teak table edge. Three years later, the scar looks like I just had surgery yesterday.
years back my dad was at camp playing frisbee, and he tripped over one of those tent stake things and fell on this big rock thing and ended up breaking his ribs and bruising his lung :,)
Load More Replies...Scar on the back of my finger where me and a school mate were playing and I accidentally whapped my hand across her watch. One of those fashionable in the late 90s Baby G ones. Blood running down hand and clear to this day pale scar, from the decoration on a friend's trendy watch.
Not me, but my mom. A couple years ago or so my mom was trying to cut an avocado, but apparently the pit was really hard or something so she ended up stabbing through the pit by accident and the knife went all the way through and into the little flap of skin in between her left index finger and thumb. Needless to say we now have an avocado cutter, haven't used a knife on an avocado in a loooong time. I used it this morning actually lol, I was making avocado toast :3
Cutting a small cardboard box on my art desk, I could not make the final cut at the corner . . . so I picked it up. Yes, got the blade through the layers BUT with such force the knife came down and sliced my thigh. Dropped the knife. Dropped the box. Grabbed all the desk tissues and pressed on the gushing vein. My boss took me to emergency for stitches. I had to sign a form that I was not a victim of abuse or violence. There is not box to check for STUPID! (I still have the scar & stitch marks.)
I got a scar on my finger while trying to cut the banana leaf for lunch. I am a Keralite and we use leaf instead of plates for eating. So it was my dumpest scar. What's yours Guys??
I was helping dig out a dead tree, attacking roots with a fork. I missed and hit myself just under my middle toe on the right. Its more noticable if i bend my toes back
I've got several scars. One on the corner of my lip actually has two story variations, depending on who I talked to. What was agreed on is that I was just learning to walk and my grandparents had taken me to a mall. Here's where it differs. My dad said that I fell and hit a garbage can; my grandparents said that I hit a bench. All I know is that I've got this lovely scar on the corner of my mouth and that I bit the doctor when he was stitching the cut. Another set of scars came from when I was in high school. I was taking a sewing class and there was times I'd have to use an iron. Now, I'm left handed and all the irons were all plugged in on the right side of the room so couldn't really adjust their placement. Burnt the inside of my left arm twice on my iron. Had people tease me about my 'suicide scars' for a while after that. Then there's another set of scars on my right hand that I know I've talked about before. But for those of you who don't know: I've got two scars on my index
finger and on my middle finger. Now, in my memory, the one on my index finger happened when I was around 6. I had taken one of my dad's utility knives to cut a branch off a tree and cut myself right at the base of my nail. Then 10 years later, I get the great idea to store quarters in a tube meant for camera film from a disposable camera. They went in really easy but when it was time for those quarters to come out... Well, they wouldn't come out so I grabbed a utility knife. Cut my middle finger right at the base of my fingernail. The scar on my middle finger is longer and straighter but other than that, they are identical.
Load More Replies...I ordered pizza for pickup, place was 3 doors down. When I picked it up it started raining semi-hard so I ran home. Tripped on a sidewalk crack went down on the back of my wrist holding the pizza. 4 inch long deep scrape, BUT I SAVED THE PIZZA. Today that scar is 1.5 in. long & barely visible. Still reminds me of who I miss in my life. I miss U Linda.
Large collection of scars just below my left knee- was riding down a gravel hill on my bike and a miscommunication in our route made my sister turn left right in front of me. We weren't going that fast but gravel is really hard to swerve and brake on. I wasn't wearing a helmet so my injuries could have been MUCH worse and now I plan to always wear a helmet when biking like that. Luckily, though, the scrape on my leg and my palms got the worst of it and my sister was completely unharmed though probably a bit scared by the sheer amount of blood running down my leg (i myself was almost panicking but I managed to stay calm I think just for her sake) anyway it was bad and I had to wear gauze wrapped around my leg for a long time. I also have a theory about why this happened and it involves a black cat
