I was into astronomy when younger and got away from it for years. Surprising how far the quality and abilities of the new equipment is, especially solar scopes. While saving up you can look for a local astronomy club, some have loaner scopes for members. There is even the odd library which have loaners.

I can relate. I had bad teeth for about 5 years and it8 was truly traumatic. People may say it doesn't matter but that's b******t. I lost my personality and couldn't get a decent job, despite being highly qualified. I couldn't get a full time job that would either pay enough for dental care or have dental benefits. I did the research; found a part time union job that paid about 70 percent dental care after 8 months of unemployment. It was embarrassing being judged by co workers and customers for 8 agonizing months. But. It. Finally. Paid. Off. It was one of the best days of my life!!. I slept with a compact mirror and bought lipstick for the first time in half a decade. You can do it too!! I'm rooting for you!!.

Paying off my student loan. Will be fully paid off in July next year unless I manage to pay extra money. But in max. 1 year I'll be debt free!

After that I want to save up to have a good music player (for both cds and tapes) and a grammophone.

And I have begun on a weight loss journey two days ago. I am doing it differently this time and I hope that it will work. ( no counting calories. Learning to love exercise. Have exercise be my goals instead of numbers on the scale. Stop comfort eating. Stop overeating. Cutting down on sugar and light-products....). I will save up to buy new clothes for when i have lost ca 20kgs and again when I have lost 35-40kgs.

Music and clothes for a happier and prettier me. 🤘😎🤘

I’m an oboist and have a student model. I can’t reach a lot of notes because it’s missing a certain fingering. Professional grade oboes sound better, are made usually of granadilla wood, have higher quality keys (some are plated with silver), and can use different types of reeds instead of the standard cork style reed. I’m still in high school, so I’m saving my money for other things too. A professional grade oboe can cost somewhere around 10-15,000$.

A new pair of Doc Martens. I've had my current pair for about 4 years, but they have definitely been through hell and back after seeing nearly daily wear for that whole time. I came to call them my toe savers after using them to help lower heavy platforms so everyone else could get their fingers out. They are very scuffed up, the soles just aren't what they used to be, ect. I'm loathed to replace them because they've really become a part of my routine, silly as it sounds. But the universe recently sent me a sign to just do it through one of the laces beginning to wear away. So I'm planning on honorably retiring them and buying a new pair of Docs for the upcoming school year.

At the moment it's a decent electric bicycle - I can't peddle a normal one anymore cause of lung damage from chemo but my missus really loves to ride her bike along the coast (we live about 200m from the sea). There are a few cheaper ones that I could get right now, but they're mostly crappier motors and firmly aimed more as 'peddle assist' ones that expect you to do half the work too... which I can't manage. I need one that's basically an electric wheelchair but bike shaped xd
