The sea!
For me, the sea is a symbol of letting go, of just feeling good, calm, free and far away from everything that weighs me down.
The wind, the smell, the view, the sound, everything makes me happy, and nothing compares to the feeling of just standing there, looking out at the horizon and taking it all in.

Wrens, specifically the winter wren, specifically juvenile ones. I've already mentioned a summer camp I went to last summer that had a huge impact on who I am as a person, and throughout that week, I kept seeing and watching a young winter wren that seemed to be interested in me. It was around for some of the biggest moments in my life, and it really means a lot to me.

I feel like music can say things that we can't put into words. When I was in a relationship, I would just send song to my boyfriend because it would have the words and emotions I would struggle to convey.

For some reason, I feel like candles have a call to me. If I want to warm up to someone I give them a candle that I think they would enjoy, and most of the time I find their favorite scent without even asking. So candles symbolize friendship, love, and affection to me. Speaking symbolically I think when a candle burns the scent comes out as love from the person who gave it to you, instead of just a scent. And that scent lingers and can be burned again resending that love into the air! So if you cant tell, I REALLY like candles.

Pepsi mango. It’s a simple pleasure and reminds me that the smallest satisfactions can really get you through hard times, even if it’s only long enough to drink a Pepsi mango and enjoy the taste instead of focusing on the crappy parts of life.

Pencils. The smell reminds me of the woods but also the memories of school. It also just soothes the f***k out of me.

A few years ago I was at a summer camp and one night we talked about Elijah and the cave (long story short, Elijah was afraid of everything outside the cave and wouldn't go outside), and were asked what was keeping us from stepping out of the cave, or what was keeping us from living our best life. They had colored spotlights set up around the gym representing core emotions like greed, fear, anger, and about five more.
My cave is fear, and it was associated with yellow. A thousand other students went to their respective "caves" and we were able to talk about it.
The next day, my friends and I were making bracelets and I was still reeling from the previous night. So I braided together strands of yellow yarn to make a cord and put letter beads on it, spelling out the phrase "Fear No More." (It references the song Fear No More by The Afters, a group that I have been listening nonstop for years now).
It's been almost six years now and I think I have made eight different cords because they keep breaking, but the beads and the message still stay the same.

TL;DR my symbol is a yellow bracelet that says Fear No More

    1. Rabbits. I was having a really rough day and feeling super lonely and I was just sitting outside and I saw a rabbit. For whatever I decided to look up the symbolism of them and found out they often represent good luck. That changed my entire perspective of the day and now it’s just something special to me.
