Watching my grandfather carried out of the house on a stretcher at 2 am.

When my mother told me my best case in life was to be an alcoholic and worst was a serial bomber.

When my dad told me I was a worthless waste of space.

All stick with me.

one lady who didn't liked me at my previous job told me that my hair looked unkempt (I have natrual fizzy curls) and from that on I started ironing my hair and wearing it in a braid because 17 y/o me was insecure. I now have shorter hair (can't put it in a braid) and I still brush my hair constantly - thanks to that grumpy b****

In my 2nd week of high school, we went into hard lockdown because there was a bullet found in our school and a kid threatened to shoot up everyone. It was traumatizing because we didn’t know what was going on or if someone actually had a gun or not.

I once broke my Mom's phone when I was 7. I was grounded ASAP. I then learned to be cautious for the rest of my life.

My mom's old car's steering wheel got stuck, and we hit a mailbox. I was also in the passenger seat where the mailbox hit. I couldn't ride in the front seat for a while, and even now I'm so worried about wrecking. That could have ended so much worse, and if we wreck again it probably will.

When I was 6-7, I was kicking a soccer ball around with my dad and he accidentally hit my face with it and I guess blacked out, since I remember next thing I was lying down on the patio furniture. Now I’m afraid of certain sports where you’re able to hit the ball super hard (soccer, volleyball, etc.) to the point of where I play I get panic attacks. P.E. teachers call it a stupid phobia and make me play anyways.
