Hey Pandas, what is an urban legend that originates where you are from?

One from Philadephia though I'm not from there. It's known as the Bus To Nowhere. According to the legend, this bus has and displays no destination. It follows no route at all. It only appears to people who have hit their lowest moment in life and feel total hopelessness. The bus never stops so when such a person sees it and runs after it, the driver will slow the bus down and open the doors for the person to get in. Even though the bus driver will tell the passenger how much fare is needed to ride the bus, whether the passenger has the exact amount, has very little money or no money at all, the driver will always let the passenger on. The bus will then continue on driving around with no destination and inside the bus are other passengers who feel completely lost and without hope. After traveling for sometime, the passenger, if he/she chooses to, will then pull on a cord to stop the bus. After stepping off of the bus, the memories of riding it wheter it be for a few days or even years just completely vanish. Even the driver and the other passengers will be completely forgotten.

The Glastonbury Glawackus (I had no idea this was even a thing) According to the Hartford Courant article I found while searching this

“It was a creature that let out "blood curdling yells at night." It was described as witnesses who saw it as a large dog with a cat-like face. Small dogs disappeared or were found mutilated along with goats and sheep.”

Memphis, Tennessee chiming in here. We have a lot of historical buildings downtown but one of the most beautiful places is the Orpheum Theatre. There is an urban legend a young girl named Mary fell to her death from the balcony. The theatre will not allow anyone to sit in her seat, and there has been sightings of Mary’s ghost in the building over the years.

Texan here!  La Llorona! The spirit of a woman who steals children to drown them.
She is a ghost of a women named Rosa or Rosalia. Her husband had an affair and she became so heart broken. Her husband than try to take her two children from her so she asked for a little time. She took her two boys to the water to play and while they were playing she drowded them in the water.
She instantly regretted this and took her own life in the water in hopes to go to heaven with them but because she had murdered she is now a demon. She roams the water sides (especially rivers and lakes) in search of children. She is also known as The Weeping Women, or the Cryer.

In my home country of Venezuela, there is the legend of the whistler (el silbon) in the country side. It is a human creature with the knees over his head, a club and a country hat. It makes a whistle sound of the local birds, so at night the closer you hear the whistle, the further it is, so once the whistle starts to dissipate the create appears and frights you, could leave you paralyzed or with severe fever for days. If you ask anyone from the country side, they all have heard the whistle and it is a sign to stay home.

Also It is said that when the whistling sounds close, there's no danger, and the whistler is far away, but when the whistling sounds distant, it means it is nearby. It is also said that hearing the whistling foretells one's own death, and one may hear it anywhere at any time. In this situation, the only thing that can save the victim is the sound of a dog barking (as it is the only thing it is afraid of), a chili, or a whip. The spirit tends to take revenge on womanisers.
