Heartstopper by Alice Oseman! I've said it before in another post but it's so cute!!!
Calvin and Hobbes is the best comic on the planet
Neil Gaiman's "Sandman" series is the first to come in mind. Not only is it some of the best storytelling in the medium, but it was so good that it beat out a lot of actual print stories to win a World Fantasy Award...
Breaking Cat News or BCN is a great daily comic strip about animals and pets in a persons town. It’s really entertaining and cute.

Heartstopper and Making Friends!
Making friends is so fun! I cant wait for the new book to come out, though its coming in like a year or something
The Witch Boy by Molly Knox Ostertag, The Girl from the Sea by Ostertag, Snapdragon by Kay Leyh, and Beetle and the Hollowbones by Aliza Lane.
Oh, and The Adventure Zone by Griffin McElroy and Carey Pietsch- warning, adult jokes and foul, foul language. They’re based off a podcast and I highly recommend you check it out!
Watchmen- I can’t believe nobody mentioned it. Also The Gunslinger books are good with excellent artwork.
Anything by Shakespeare. I know I know, but it really does make it far more understandable for the masses and non-literary people.
Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld, like the graphic novel version with art by Asiah Fulmore. Her art style is perfection:) the entire book is smothered in shades of purple and I love it. Love Amaya and Autumn :)
Wing of Fire, it is about a group of dragons that were chosen to follow a destiny.
It isn't a full series yet and new graphic novel comes out around every year.
There is also a novel version of it that is complete.
Space boy or Heartstopper. They are both webtoons that have been turned into graphic novels.
Heartstopper for sure! Literally soo cute! and after you read it you should watch it on netflix.
Pedro and me , Judd Winick. Touching tribute to Pedro Zamora and a good memory for those who were teenager in the 90's and grew up watching "The Real World " on MTV.
The Silver Six. I read it in 4th grade so I don’t have the BEST memory, but I’ll try.
It takes place in a futuristic city, with the main character being an orphan named Phoebe. She lives with a robot. You see, she pretends that her parents are still alive to everyone. Even the rent collector. This is because she wants to avoid being taken in by the Child Welfare.
Spoiler Alert.
She gets caught. She, and her new friends, escape the orphanage and must go on an adventure to discover their parents’ past as they realize their parents were linked with each other. They are now on the run, with the enemy right on their trail…
Wings of Fire. It has actually more than one series, but only one of the series is turned into a graphic novel.
I Hate Fairyland by Skottie Young! The storyline is so inventive and action-packed. I just fall into the artwork.
Graphic novel idea! Just Pretend by Tori Sharp. Super sweet, its about a girl whose parents are divorced with shared custody. The main character is amazing! The illustrations are so detailed as well.
Beetle and the hollow bones! I love it so much! Annnnd there’s a sequel coming out soon!!
Yea it’s so cute and the characters are so lovable
