Deftones made me feel OK!

The Runaways made me cool. Springsteen woke me up. TØP kept me alive during my darkest days. Hozier took my breath. Taylor Swift gave it back. The Eagles fed me. And Paul Simon cleansed and elevated my soul.

My good friend and I are hip hop/metal fans. I know that’s a weird combination, but when it was just he two of us we would jam Taylor and sing along.

Rondo Veneziano - if you let it count as a “band” - very uplifting tunes that meme me wNt to move, dance and fly instead of hide away in the dark.

! Without a doubt, their catchy tunes and, song dependant, relatable lyrics, saved me from a mentally abusive early adulthood into middle age! Great band, fantastic live and had the pleasure to meet these talented down to earth guys on my 21st at a gig in Liverpool!

Trigger Warning*****

Pentatonix. Acapella is a lot easier on my sensory issues that regular music, especially acapella songs without a bass line (their version of Mad World, Run to You, etc). And honestly, the lyrics to Happy Now helped convince me to fight until I got to a point where "I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad, the dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had" actually was still true, but they were just dreams, and not a goal. And using some of their music in cases of sensory overload has made my bad days a lot easier, which helps too. So thank you for saving my life.

Eh hehe, its 2021, and yeah, you'd be living under a rock if you haven't heard of BTS. :D
They got me out of self-neglect, and taught me how to love myself.
I'm really glad I found them, or else I would have been in a mental asylum by this time. No exaggerating! :)
go ARMY!
