I am eternally thankful for the pure stroke of good fortune that meant I was born to loving and supportive parents. Every time I read about the poor souls who were not so lucky, my heart breaks for them.

I'm thankful for the fact that I've finally found good friends who will listen to my issues and support me no matter what. I went my whole life with no real friends, but somehow I now have so many more than I ever thought I could have.

I finally have a boyfriend who’s so cute and nice, and I finally found who I truly am, and he prefers to be called Charlie.

I'm thankful that we live in a society that respects women's rights to choice and the rights of people of colour... oh... wait... nvm.

I'm thankful for allies continuing to push back against the undoing of protections for those who are vulnerable and the continued pressure they put to try to achieve equity.

My dog had a lump removed from her teat last Friday, the same day I was offered a new job. Yesterday the lab results came back and it was benign.

I am thankful for my family, cat, a home and food.

That was very simple. Everyone probably said all of them (not including cat.)

Also, I'm Canadian and I don't know why I am doing this. Thanksgiving was last month.
