I will be cooking a leg of lamb. I am still not sure if it will be a roast or pulled lamb, but it will have tons of rosemary and garlic. I am thinking red cabbage and spätzle or duchess potatoes as sides, and lamb's lettuce. I propably will eat the meat on bread for days after :-)
Rouladen, Spaetzle. and sachertorte
Beef rouladen is a classic German dish that is comforting and full of flavor. These beef rolls are filled with bacon, onion, pickles and mustard and, after a slow braise.
What I wish I could make is a dumpling my grandmother called wiggle klaza (because they wiggled) There is no recipe. She rolled out a potato dough, put buttered bread crumbs on it and rolled then up to fist size. If anyone knows that recipe I would appreciate it.
Sounds like classic Kartoffelklöse but fluffier ? https://www.quick-german-recipes.com/german-potato-dumplings.html
