turquoise. i used to pronounce it- and please don't make fun of me people at school used to.. so anyways "toy-couiser". why did i add "r" to it. LIKE DOOD! anyways, there is a little story behind this but some girl (now my best friend) came up to me and said "I can help you pronounce turquoise" and I said " yes yes yes yes" and so she sounded it out for me and helped meee! I am so grateful for her help and now we are best friends! (pls dont down vote if you dont like this..)

oh, like the way victor Krum pronounced it! Jk Rowling said she was worried about that so she included that one scene in gof where Hermione taught Krum to say her name...from what I've seen, it's actually a common mispronunciation!

Due to swollen tonsils, all words that sounded like they start with 'r' started with 'w' and all words that sounded like they start with 'k' started with 't'. That included my own name.

I had a girlfriend who pronounced the "re" in "macabre" - muh-cob-ruh. I didn't tell her until we were in the middle of an argument and I suddenly blurted out "By the way, it's pronounced 'muh-cob'! You don't say the -re at the end!" She was stunned. That was the end of that argument.

2) Genre. Same: Gheenre. The correct french pronounciation sounds to posh to me.

I know how to pronounce Colorado, but I always pronounce it "Ca-larado".
It messes with people's heads a lot, and after Misha Collins mispronounced it during Supernatural filming, and it made the Gag Reel, it's gotten even more famous!

Eragon. Even though it is the name of the dragon coming in the book. I hated that name as I had no clue how to pronounce it. I would mostly skip the word and move on. Only after watching the movie, I was able to pronounce it correctly so I read the book once again.

I had a relative who pronounced "harrassed" wrong. He said "Hair-assed". I never corrected him (old southern respect for elders), but I laughed inwardly for the first 5,000 times he used his version. He is gone now so I could use his name but I still respect him too much.

For the longest time I used to pronounce Thomas with the Th sound you would find in words like Thorn. I only recently stopped when one of my friends corrected me. They tease me about it a lot tho

THE MOST PROUD. My Wings of Fire dragon tribes are SeaWing and RainWing (as gathered from my username) and DO NOT WORRY, I am absolutely not and animus or anything ridiculously powerful. I despise those overpowered immortal AllWing animus firescales mindreading futureseeing firebreathing fireroof icebreathing colorchanging venomshooting so on and so fourth kinds of things. The only reason I am a hybrid is because I CANNOT CHOOSE between Sea and Rain, they are both so awesome!! Plus also I am a balanced hybrid; weakish powers and stuff. Ok so now I am rambling... what to talk about... Ooh, yes KOTLC! I am an Empath! Level two at Foxfire. Biana and Oralie are my very most favorite characters ever! As for the Sokeefe Sophitz debate... I am team Sophie! I can see pros and cons to both choices, and I will not list them here because it would fit better in a Ted Talk than a BP pf description. When I am not reading I am doing creative projects! I absolutely love to make jewelry. the actual kind, with wires and crystals and chain and jump rings! And I glitzify everything!!!! HOT PINK. I'm not a toddler, I promise. I also love to sew things, because 50% of the time the things I find at the store are not pink or sparkly enough. I also really enjoy makeup, even though people my age should barely know the difference between eyeliner and lipliner. Another thing I love is mermaids! They are my favorite mythical creature, aside from dragons, and inspire a lot of my jewelry and clothing creations. And speaking of creations, I actually like writing quite a bit. Too bad my stamina level is a zero; I can only write wimpy small things. I additionally enjoy the stage; I love to act and sing! Musical Theater is a staple activity in my life. And now I'm out, thanks for bearing with me!
