I can give you a laundry list but I'll keep it short-ish

Garbage's cover of David Bowie's "Starman" (Shirley Manson nailed it)

Nightwish "Ghost Love Score" ( Floor Jansen's version), "The Poet and The Pendulum", "The Greatest Show on Earth"

Delerium "Windows Become Screens" (perfect for rainy days)

Anything by Depeche Mode "Waiting For The Night" (try listening in the dark. It's trippy), "Walking In My Shoes", "Fragile Tension"

Dropkick Murphys "Rose Tattoo", " Dead Rats"

Emilie Autumn "306" (victorian industrial is an interesting genre)

Epica "Chasing The Dragon"

Holly McNarland "Elmo" "Numb" "I Won't Stay"

Jennifer Thomas "Illumination"

Jinjer "Pisces"

(You got me going down the rabbit hole now)

Weezer "Island In The Sun"

Kings of Leon "Time In Diguise"

Lacuna Coil "Ghost Woman and The Hunter"

Live "Dolphin Cry", "Where The Fishes"

Sopor Aeturnus "Beautiful", "DeathHouse"

Black Uruhu "Weeping Willow"

Some of my favorite songs, primarily rock music are:
"Lifeline" by Thousand Foot Krutch
"Photograph" by Nickelback
"Lost in the moment" by NF
"Bad Company" by Five Finger Death Punch
"Indestructible" by Solence
"Second Chance" by Shinedown

I found most of the songs because of friends' recommendations and a couple because I related to them.

The River by Good Charlotte/M Shadows, love the lyrics and it came at a time when I began loving AX7.

Neo-classical pieces are probably not what you're looking for, but I've always found these pieces to be evocative and emotionally full.

Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue"
Copeland's "Fanfare for the Common Man"
Ravel's "Bolero" (this one is thought by some to be rather erotic, due to the rhythms and the roaring climax)

And search YouTube for "Ode to Joy flash mobs" Truly inspiring, and aptly titled.
