One of the great inventions of the Ottoman Empire that spread all over the region. In Israel the best way is in a Laffa (A folding flatbread that is from the Jews of Iraq, a Jewish bread from there), and you want Charif (A hot pepper sauce from the Jews in Yemen, something non-jews in Yemen dont eat), then add in herb Tomato Dip (brought by Jews from Poland), and marinated roasted eggplant (brought by jews from Romania), and add in fries. You get the real Israel feel of the whole Jewish diaspora's items united in one dish

In India they go by various regional names, which also depends on the ingredients used. ' Chapatti' and ' Paratha' are the most common iterations.

That's the most gorgeous green cabbage I've seen. The cabbage in our stores and farmer's markets are usually much lighter in color.

Yes the Bunnings snag, but where's the onion? , now for the argument, on top or under for OHS reasons??

It must be under the snag. I know they introduced that rule because of OH&S reasons. But here in WA we got around it… we don’t use bread… we use bread ROLLS so we don’t have the sauce or the onions leaking through or dropping out as easily 😉

The Bunnings snaggers are the best! But they went up 50c and it’s a disgrace. Also onions always go on sausage sandwiches no matter what people say.

This is our national dish. It is rice cooked with coconut milk and pandan (so fragrant, mmm!), fried peanuts, fried anchovies, boiled egg and cucumber, and the most important thing - the sambal (chilli and onion paste which is sweet and hot with a hint of tamarind). Yummyyy... Additional side dishes of chicken, beef, fish or squid are optional. We usually eat this for breakfast, but it is available for lunch, dinner and supper too.

Fascinating! What is the food on the right side of the dish, between the greens and what I assume are beans? And what spices are used?

Oooh I LOVE ackee!! Such a weird thing; it's a fruit, you cook it like a vegetable, but it tastes like scrambled eggs, sort of. Used to beat it out of our neigbour's tree with a stick.

You lost me when stating "Like All Students And School People Eat Those". Yes they are relatively cheap and they are savory. In our Uni we've got a couple of thousand students, this snack is only moderately popular. Maybe at high schools when a quick snack is in demand, then again there are quite a few tasty and cheap alternatives to this specific snack.

It's rice vermicelli in soup cooked with usually prawn-based stock, with a lot of spices and coconut milk. As you can see it's topped with shredded chicken, prawns, fried eggs, and coriander. Usually it comes with the side of belacan (shrimp paste) and kalamansi, which you can opt to squeeze into the soup to add some more tanginess.

Looks like a low country boil or just a Louisiana boil. Either way crawfish are very good prepared a variety of ways but many people love them this way and they have a festival in Louisiana for them like this every year.
