Any elementary school teacher chastising a kid for drawing these “god beams” is just wrong.

Those are called lenticular clouds, they formed when the wind is super strong up at high elevation they usually occur around mountain and they’re very cool even though they don’t have spaceships inhabiting them some people are not convince

I love how the ocean mimics the cloud texture. If you inverted this photo it'd be one of those "what the hell am I looking at?' photos that makes sense but you can't quite understand what you're seeing. Very nice!
