I want a bunny so badly. I know 2 people who have had them and in spite of being taken care of, they died. I was told bunnies are very fragile, and have very specific care that attention is needed to. The more I read, the more opinions I get and more confused I get. These animals are so sweet, and one owner told me their bunny (one of those big Dutch types) is almost like a dog, she's so smart. These guys just melt my heart :)

Crocs are indeed rare in the Everglades, but they have been spotted occasionally. An employee at the boat launch area where the pic was taken had worked in the park for 27 years and this was his first sighting. We got very lucky to be in the right place at the right time.

They’re called Red-winged Blackbirds, and I live in an area with a subspecies whose shoulder feathers have none of the yellow, just the red. They’re found in marshy or reedy lakes and ponds. The females look very different, a lovely mishmash of strong browns like a tweed coat. They also have a creaky-ass song that sounds like an unoiled gate hinge.

Your comment had me talk to the owner of Mai's momma and she is part Maine C**n, tabby edition! Didn't believe that MC can be shorthair or Tabby, but both are true. Explains the giant ears, anyway. Eons ago in my home state of Kansas, we all knew a man ran an exotic farm not too far from town. He had tigers, zebras and a camel among others. One time, the police got a report of a tiger having been hit and killed on the highway in the middle of the night. "It's just sprawled on the shoulder and not moving!" the caller said. "Keep your distance!" the dispatcher said. Police arrived with animal control. They saw the tiger motionless by the side of the road. All of them were shaking in their boots, afraid it would spring to life any second. As they inched closer, all lights trained on the ferocious beast, the foremost cop announced, "Relax, guys. It's fake. It's just a giant stuffed toy tiger." Photo in the paper showed the tiger was huge, almost life size. The cops were glad they didn't have to deal with a real one.

Contacted the owner of Mai's momma and she is part Maine C**n! She's is super long and heavy, with the distinctive M on her forehead. Wasn't convinced bc Mai is short haired and the M is common among Tabbies, but lo and behold, there are short haired Tabby Maine Coons. So, between my friends testimony, the ears and length and weight, I'm going with Maine C**n. Maggie's pops must have been a tortoiseshell bc she had a tortie sister and a twin sister "diluted" tortoiseshell. They are all considerably smaller than Mai and their brother Valiant. She still got her momma ears, though!

He died on September 11 this year, and it has been really hard trying to deal with it. I had previously been recovering from a depressive episode, and his death started another one :,(. The night before he died, he gave me a final headbonk. I miss him so much.

Hedgehogs like to burrow or be wrapped up in things . It's like a little blanket on her and in no way bothering her at all . She was running around, quills completely down , not rolled up in a ball and was being very social. That's a happy hedgie.
