Practice. I used to only draw animals, then I was like hey I could just learn to draw people. I had a few great style inspirations and a big part of what I did was open one of their pieces that I liked and sketch while looking at it, then try and figure out what the artist did that I liked so much, then add it. Also, for proportions, look at pictures of people and trace them, focusing on proportions. Once you feel like you have a solid grasp of natural proportions, you can start to stylize with the guidance of inspiration art. if your proportions start to feel off again, use another picture to look at while drawing, but don't trace the second time. But it really comes down to practice. Your art will sort itself out naturally because you know what a human looks like, it's just your hand-eye coordination figuring things out.
