I’ve never been a big pursuer of popular music, i personally listen to mostly classical. But from my friends, they say that Hardbass and Phonk are making big strides right now.

My country is full of a******s to do that to them. Especially Put1n. He’s a horrible human being and if you speak to the majority of other Russians, they’d actually agree. He makes it seem like we all want Ukraine’s destruction. We do not.

Are the Russian people actually THAT excited by vodka? (Note: I don't mean for this to come across as offensive.)

As someone who drinks Vodka, i’d say yes. I don’t drink it extensively, but i know some people who do because it’s cheap and it’s numbing. So yes, because they find it an easy relief, i suppose

I would mostly be in danger of being forcibly put into military service and maybe because i’ve been out as a queer person online. I do want to return someday, maybe when things are better and put1n is gone, because it is my homeland. It’s kind of a complicated feeling but i do hope to return, but if things never improve then i do NOT wish to. I think it depends.

drastically. When the war started, i used to live in St. Petersburg, but then had to travel south to our eastern border with Belarus. We didn’t want to cross at a checkpoint so we abandoned the car and drove walked the rest of the way. I had to carry my little sister, and i broke my arm and got a concussion. My brother stayed behind to cross later but was forced into service before that could happen. We then took my babushka, mom, and sister to singapore to live with my aunt. I’m still having nightmares about that week, But now i live on my own and go to uni for music and sound design.

Since Rus is my first language, i can’t say much on LEARNING it, but i guess i do have advice for speaking: 1. Always try to speak clearly, especially if you know you have a strong accent. We have the most trouble understanding English, American, and most Middle-Eastern accents. 2. Genuinely, if you are talking to a native speaker, really just throw in a bunch of curse words and you’ll seem legit. 🤦🏼 3. Learn the alphabet, and practice sounding out every cyrillic words you see. It definitely helps for reading in the future. Eventually you’ll get to a point where you can just see the word and say it- it’s what helped me with English. 4. Travel, or use Omegle. Genuinely nothing helps better than speaking to people who know it.

It’s a soft sign! It doesn’t technically have a sound, but it’s called a мягкий знак. In simple terms, when you see it in a word, just soften the sound that came before it, like make it a bit more throaty and more air to it. But ы is an entirely different letter, and basically it just makes a soft y sound.

I LOVE chocolate, especially Ukrainian chocolates. From what i’ve seen, “popular” sweets would probably be Belochka, squirrel chocolate i think is still a thing, Mishka na sever, and Babaevsky chocolates are still a thing i think :) my personal favorite is Belochka probably

For a direct translation, you want Сука идиотка (suka idiotka), but i believe some better insults to be сука блять (fooking bithc), or иди нахуи (go f*ck yourself)

I can’t say i have a definitive opinion, as i grew up in the “east” or technically in an asian/european east. I kind of see both sides of the argument and i understand why the east and west have their differences, but the escalation of it is starting to get out of hand. Also, i LOVE queen! Killer Queen and Bohemian Rhapsody are my favorites!
