Here's the deal, a nutty professor has given you the chance to time travel back to meet your teenage self for the day. His strict rules are that you can only take what you're wearing, and three extra items with you on your journey through time. So Pandas, what three items would you take to impress the socks off your teenage self?

A pair of brass knuckles so I can kick my a*s, good diet information, and the name and picture of my current wife so I can say, "find this woman now!"

1) my book collection
2) a photo of myself (ditched the fringe!)
3) … screen shots of texts so I can say “avoid these people”

Still eighteen, so this is for my fourteen yr old self :)

Keep your 16yo opinions about young marriage and kids to yourself (even if you never said anything) & support your older sister as much as you can. Then maybe you'll be friends later

I would bring my old Xbox one, and then I would give it to him. it would probably help him survive a little more comfortably. then I would bring a bowl of mac and cheese, and some comics. I would tell him to get the number of every single person he knows, and that we do get a girl at some point. then I would say, "good luck kid, don't mess me up."wink, and leave.

Can I help, or do I just have to rub my own nose in the things I have now?

If I can leave something behind for them I’m taking a metric ton of medication. I didn’t get properly treated for anxiety until I was 26 and ADHD until I was 34. I was in really, really poor mental health as a teenager due to the anxiety and depression caused by the fact that everyone treated me like I was being a spiteful jerk when I was literally incapable of doing my schoolwork on my own.

If I can’t leave it with them I’d take my dog so I can show myself that we really can have good things in our life.

Either way the thing that will impress teenage me the most is that I’m still alive, and the most important “stuff” I could possibly show or give my past self is reassurance that we aren’t a broken monster and it’s not our fault.

A photo of my self and family, a written note about stuff that happens in the future so we can stop it (like school shootings, bad things that happen to my life, and stuff along those lines). I would probally also take my parakeet so past me can have both past budgie and future budgie. While I'm there though I would hang out with my family and past me. I would warn people and go get us on the news :)
