My grandmas recipe. Absolutely brilliant by the way. Literally use a rice cooker, add jasmine or basmati rice. (Have no idea if these are generic brands or exclusively Australian, if so use white rice) add water as needed. Then add oil, 1 and a half tsp of vegeta and a pinch of salt. My wife, who is Indonesian, lays 6-8 Kaffir Lime leaves on top of the rice in our rice cooker before she cooks it.

I actually like the way Singaporeans eat rice. When I've been there, they add Soya Sauce and Beans to it. They sometimes even add spicy curry which is DELICIOUS! *chef's kiss*
i easy it lots of ways. rice, milk and sugar. French style green beans and bacon. red beans. fried bologna. canned corn. fried eggs. butter and salt. etc.
Rice with (evaporated) milk and sugar was a common dessert when I was a kid. I think I need bring it back :)

And when I make different kinds of prices I add diff things.
1 cup of rice to 3 cups water. Salt. Bring to boil (covered) and simmer for 20 minutes. Perfect every time
