These past few days I’ve realised my main issue is that I panic way too easily and that makes situations worse for me. For example: I had a little bit homework that was due but I got anxious as the teacher was strict and I couldn’t risk not doing the homework. The anxiousness was so overwhelming that I shut down and didn’t complete the homework and got yelled at later. My exams are going to approach soon and it would be very bad if I start panicking and then shut down. I need advice on how to deal with it on my own because I don’t want to burden the people I know in real life with these small problems

I suffer from anxiety as well. I don’t reveal anything like that on here tho. I have more..confidence here..but irl I try and just calm myself down. Rather it’s talking to myself, deep breathes, finding a distraction, or even praying..I find it calming..Also uhm..have you tried like essential oils? There are some good oils to help with that to relax. Pretty sure it’s Balance and Serenity. I use a lot of essential oils so that’s just a suggestion. Also I do the same thing. I panic and overthink stuff and make everything worse for myself. It’s hard to go through with things after you’ve made it 10x worse in your head..so I get that. There’s tons of things I do that with..it makes it hard to try new things. And..hate to admit it..but most of the time..I just give up on trying, and shut down. I’m an introvert irl, so I’m at home a lot. Like A LOT. When we’re supposed to go out I usually stay home. And a few days ago I went out for the first time in a week or so or longer..I went into a car, walked in a store, and my brain was just flooded thoughts about being dizzy and all this stuff. Same thing when I go on a plane or I’m in crowded spots. For example. In the hallways at school, you have seniors, freshmen, juniors, and sophomores, walking in different directions all around you. That overwhelms me and I get “whoozy” and weird. And stuff like that. But idk if any of these will work for you. But they sort of help me. I hope they do, and you can pass your exams. Or hopefully other people will have better advice..sorry if I went on a rant about what makes me anxious and stuff. Just found someone I could relate too..
Eh mate. I may be an extrovert most of the time, but when I lose my s**t and panic for literally no reason, I feel you. Kinda just wanna isolate and not talk to anyone. I feel ya man.
I know this isn't going to be the solution you want, but you need to ask real life people for help. If something small like a homework assignment causes a panic attack, I don't think there's much you can do on your own, and you should try to find a therapist or counselour, either by asking your parents, or contacting your school's counselor.
Also, you are NOT burdening people with "small problems", if these problems are effecting your ability function properly. People who care about you will want to help you.
when I'm anxious I learn something new which is why I crochet, knit, am learning norwegian, Hawaiian, piano and I paint a little. it helps me a bit. but I've also experienced learning too much at once. there's a middle ground to find.
As someone who is not yet professionally diagnosed with anxiety but shows literally all the signs, somethings that help me are: Breathing in trying to normalize heartbeat, listening to music on a run, drawing or any leisure activity, when in that moment use the 5 sense strategy (name something you can hear, touch, look, smell, and taste) or name three sounds, sights, and touch 3 different areas. AKA: distract yourself unless you anxious for like a test or something you need to focus on calm down!
I don't have any solutions, but I just wanted to say that this is very relatable.
