I stole a fidget spinner from a store when I was young.

Yeah, I used to steal alot when I was a teenager. Clothes, jewelry, knick knacks, cheap c**p from the mall. However, the most substantial thing I stole was approximately $1200 from my grandmothers husband, (or maybe my mom, I'll explain). My grandmother died when I was 17, and her money, which was around $35,000 (which we had NO idea she had that much) went to Don (her husband). However, he wasn't able to take care of himself. He was in his 90's and had several medical issues, so my mother became his caregiver and was made power of attorney. A good portion of the money was used for his expenses and eventually senior housing, but there was still alot left. I forged my mother's signature on a withdrawal slip and went to the bank drive through because I knew that this bank was pretty lackadaisical. I would take out $100 here, $50 there...i did this for several months. I'm not proud of it. However, my grandmother's husband was a horrible person who abused my grandmother. I do feel bad that I took the money because it eventually went to my mother after he passed. We were poor growing up. My mother worked 2 jobs to care for us. She did get a nice chunk of change, and I did tell my mother was I did about 10 years later. She just laughed.
I shoplifted a button once because I wanted to know what it felt like and I still feel guilty about it.
Once in my life. A toy ship at a raffle stand when I was 10. I have always loved ships and everything maritime related. Remember thinking something on the lines of "no one us going to appreciate it", I just took it. No one caught me or even noticed it was missing. My parents just assumed I had won it. I had it for years until someone stole it at a pool party. Guess it is true, then... No honor among thieves...
A car when I was 6. And a candy bar when I was 5. The candy bar was an accident. It was in my hands and I thought my mom knew and had paid for it. The car was just a really complicated situation with an a-hole neighbor. No charges were filed in either case though.
A highlighter, postcard, pen and a pencil. Took it all at once still have it now
A lavender miniature soap ball when I was little. The minute I got in the car I knew my mom would know. She had these pull down trays on the back seats so I squished it in one of those. After that I have no idea what happened to the evidence but I didn't sleep well I'm pretty sure.
A piece of sea glass.
Once found a mega pack of toilet paper under a cart in the grocery store parking lot (like 40 rolls), so I took it. Also found bags left outside the mall in the parking lot. Took them. Turned out to be games and clothes and stuff. Nothing expensive. Ended up returning it to the mall
Not really about me but when I was 11, me and my dad were stocking up for a movie night at a gas station. Just some snacks/sweets. I don't know exactly how it happened, but we left without paying for some of them. By the time we went back to pay for them (a couple weeks later?), he was banned.
He didn't know this so he ended up getting arrested. He's a big black man so it didn't go over very well. Everybody was super sh*tty and racist.
It was pretty horrible.
Yes. Never from the store that I recall. I mean unless you count the fallen fake flower heads in hobby lobby or dollar tree. I was in school at a UIL competition and while in line [2cd grade] I picked up two candies and pretended i already paid for the other earlier (I was in that line two times already). I felt crazy bad about and never told nobody. I ended up sharing though... with someone I disliked.
I stole a blue thong with cherries 🍒 on the front because my mom wouldn't let me buy them... I think I was 13 or 14 years old. Shame on myself.
Starbucks gift cards
I liked the designs, so I took them
Never put any money in them tho
I felt guilty so I stopped. I still think the designs are pretty
658 pencils. And a guinea pig (I can explain!)
I stole stuff from my sis as a kid, does that count?
I stole a blue rock that was worth like 5 cents from a random store in Colorado.
I stole like $5 bucks from my sister once bc she took my Easter eggs that had money (but I didn’t know how much) when she was 4.
I stole a quarter from my dying grandfather I had never met before.
I stole a single radish when I was around 6. My mom used it as a teachable moment and chewed me out big time. Needless to say, I haven’t stolen a radish since 😂
