What happened?

I was on vacation in Italy when I was 13 (didn’t like it) and we went to a restaurant. After that, when we went back to our apartment in a park where we were the only guests, my dad had the feeling we got followed. In the middle of the night, my dad heard someone walking around the apartment and called my name (I had sleep problems so I would go to him sometimes) but no answer. When he walked out of his room the robber fled and my dad saw the door open. He woke everyone up and I was so scared I couldn’t sleep anymore because my bag was moved from my room to the living room so that meant he was in my room.

Yes. Once. I was his manager and he was always around. My sister was the one who figured out he was stalking me. I mean I knew he was always there when I turned around but apparently he never took his eyes off me and we figured out he'd been stalking me outside of work for about 3 months or so.

People, do not do what I did, please don't do what I did. I confronted him. It could have ended very badly and I did it when the two of use were alone. I'm creepily good at reading people and I knew I wasn't going to be in danger but never take that chance. He cried as I told him it had to stop, that one day he would find someone who made the world light up for him but I wasn't that woman.

He stopped. Around a month or two later we had a new girl start and the two fell head over heals in love with each other. She came to my office after they had announced they were dating to thank me for telling him to stop stalking me. She wanted to make sure there were no hard feelings between me and her, just in case I had fallen for him after I told him to stop. I hadn't and I told her as much. They were both incredibly weird but their weird meshed and they were married last I knew. Haven't seen them in a decade.

So me and my sister had a small lawn that we would play in while my parents watched TV. On this day my sister had to go inside to use the washroom. I decided to keep playing outside.

I remember looking over and seeing my neighbor (a young man in his 20's) watching me. A few minutes later he came over, greeted me, and asked if I wanted to see his dogs.

Now, I didn't know what to do I was just a 1st grader. I could yell but what if I got him trouble. So I went with him. Right before I walked through the door, luckily my dad saw me.

Turned out, no dogs.

For about a year my flat mate kept talking about seeing some girl watching the place, he saw her almost every night. Sometime he said he saw her outside the pub or bar when we were out.
Every time he mentioned it for the first few months I'd check and there would be nobody there. After a while I assumed he was on a wind-up and started ignoring it.
That winter the company I worked for was hosting a massive bash to celebrate 50 years in business and we were allowed to bring guests; I took my flatmate along with me.
About 10 mins in he grabs me, points to bar area and says, 'That's her, the girl that's been watching the flat!'.
I was a girl from my department. She was a nice enough girl. Shy, but often made cakes and stuff for the team, always my favourites, carrot cake, chocolate or red velvet! I got on quite well with her because she like the same TV shows and bands as me.
I told him he was being daft and wrote it off.
In the new year I was having a bit of a clear-out and asked her if she wanted any of my DVDs (since she liked the shows) and that I'd drop them round one evening. Well... when I did...
I rang the doorbell, she answered, looking amazing. I said, 'Oh are you heading out?', she said she was going to, but decided against it and invited me in for a cuppa. I handed over the Box sets and we had a bit of a chat about the show. I needed a wee so asked if I could use the bathroom.
On a little unit in the corner there was a scrapbook type folder, being nosey I had a look. She had pictures of me in it, pictures that I don't remember being taken and a couple that were... shall we say, intimate.
I put it back, went for a wee, washed my hands, finished my tea and said goodnight.
When I got home my flatmate was there with a few of our friends. I was still learning about 'acceptable behaviour' so I mentioned it and they told me that it definitely wasn't normal behaviour and that I should be careful because she could be psychotic.
I went back round to her house, had a talk with her about some of the things I'd learned while in the MH facility. I did end up sleeping with her, which made things a lot more difficult for a while, but I managed the get her the help she needed in the end.

When my mom was little she got followed by a guy on a motorcycle and she had to run into her neighbors backyard, so that was creepy.

I went to Italy with my family to visit my grandmother, we stopped by an amusement park called Rainbow Magic Land. Me and my family were walking to a water ride when a man in black clothes who was also smoking, started following us and every time I looked back he stopped walking, then when I took a peek (and he didn't see it luckily) he was walking behind us again. Thank god my parents were with us!

When I was 19, I was attending a local community college and also working at a local grocery store when a coworker began stalking me. I knew him from high school also, but never really spoke to him during school. He became friends with my cousin(male) and several of my male friends so he was around a lot. He started following me home from work, coming in on his days off if I was working, showing up everywhere I was, etc. I started driving a different vehicle (with the help of family members vehicles) to school everyday and I would park in different locations to try to throw him off. He somehow still found my dads LOCKED truck, got it open and left flowers inside with a letter that said from your secret admirer. He followed me home from work later that night, so I ran inside, got my dad and my dad ran through the yard with a baseball bat trying to catch him. He took off. He then gave my best friend a half karat diamond ring to give to me. When she returned it with my message of, no thanks, he asked her if he got me a bigger diamond if she thought I would be his girlfriend. It finally totally ended when my cousin walked into the grocery store where my stalker and I worked, punched stalker in the face knocking him into apples and oranges that rolled everywhere and then told him if he so much as looked my direction ever again he would put him in the hospital and he meant it. Extra info: several years after this he went to prison for deviate sexual intercourse/statutory rape of a 14 year old girl. And I was only 1 of 8 different girls he has stalked/bought diamonds for over the years. Such a creep.
