Free healthcare, including mental healthcare, should be readily available to everyone. I'm tired of watching people become homeless over needing hospital care, or alternatively suffer for a long time or even die due to not being able to afford a visit to a doctor. I'm currently at risk for losing therapy that helps me cope and recover from spd and ptsd (my two most difficult issues) because insurance won't cover it. 'Murica sucks

Mental health is so important and apparently in the US no insurance cares about it. People don't deserve to struggle with anything, especially things that they can't control.

All American politics are corrupt, both in the technical and moral definition. There is SERIOUS gerrymandering in my state, people are trying to change the bylaws so they don't have to give notice before an override vote, because the ruling party is one seat short of a veto-proof majority. They're trying to pass a s**t ton of laws that the majority of the state disagrees with, and all of them affect me. I'm from NC by the way, the same state that had the right to vote for every free man in their constitution, and then removed it in the 1830s. I want to leave.

I feel that it's not always about having a strong opinion, but how to present it. Do well-reasoned opinions get so many downvotes? Do we get that many of them here? We cannot accept toxic and bitter opinions without reasonable grounds.

yep! And sadly a lot of the times people with differing opinions present them very rudely and saying how much everyone should agree with them, and won't listen to other people's reasonings. People who are polite normally aren't downvoted, but have nice conversations about it

Feminine hygiene products should be readily available in public bathrooms. I don’t always have a quarter or a pad, and even if I do have a quarter, there isn’t always a machine. They should be provided for free by the proprietor in the same way toilet paper or paper towels are.

I had never considered before that feminine hygiene products could actually be free like toilet paper. But I like the idea, if toilet paper is freely available in public spaces, these things should be there too. But I realize that their free availability would mean that one woman would take X pieces and the others would not get them anymore.

It doesn't make sense that in this day and age, in the US they still take your credit card from you to run it. In canada, as I imagine most places, they hand you the machine... you never part with your card. You never worry you forgot it in the little bill sleeve thing. In the US, even for a drive through you hand them your credit card... tap exists people! Hand me the machine, I'm tap or insert my card myself, thank you.

Sometimes this depends on the restaurant/ drive through! We have a place where you pay upfront, and a good handful where you pay at the table with the little ziosk things. Then with drive thru it can depend on the person working. We've had the person pull over the machine and let us tap, then people who take it and do whatever

Literally almost every place I've stopped at in MI. OH. NY. NC. SC. VI. WV. KY. TN. PA. GA. This year I had to hand over my card or walk to the front. Literally less than 10 places had a machine that I put my card into, in fact a number of places that had a portable machine still took my card to insert themselves which is strange. Literally nowhere in canada do you ever hand someone your card. Not even briefly. In Florida i think that was the only state that I never had to hand over my card.

I’m prepared to get downvoted but here goes nothing. Gen Z are bringing back fashion trends that are AWFUL. I’m a Gen Z myself but seriously sit down and look at your fashion. Firstly, Mullets are AWFUL and UGLY and a trend that should burn in hell. Secondly, crocs aren’t that necessary and are meant for the outdoors. Thirdly, all the new men and women fashion is a bit meh to be honest and god awful. Finally, the colors are a bit too bright and hurts my eyes. Personally I prefer a monochromatic wardrobe but don’t mind some color but if it’s too bright or looks like a highlighter pack then NO. Anyways that’s it.

Agree. I used to look back at 80’s fashion trends and think “I am so glad those are done,” and then my generation brought them back. Why would anyone tight roll their jeans? It just ruins the jeans. Or why would people wear full body suits? How do you go to the bathroom? What if you are on your period? And crocs are very impractical. IDK why people like them because I just get scared they are going to fall off my feet.
