Men are not obsolete because gender equality and progress do not involve the obsolescence of any gender. Society benefits from diversity, and men, like women, have unique contributions to offer in various aspects of life, including family, work, culture, and society as a whole. Embracing equality means recognizing and valuing the strengths, perspectives, and potential of all individuals, regardless of their gender, rather than rendering any group obsolete.
I've actually had this conversation several times with different people.
I think it's completely silly that men will ever become obsolete. Us woman need them, love them, and want them around.
I think that case here is that society swings from one extreme to the other. Women were obsolete in politics and the business world for years (and still are in many countries). We are enjoying our power and our freedom and the fact that we can do anything we set our minds to. We have started to dominate sectors of society because of that.
That is not a bad thing.
Is it uncomfortable for a lot of men? Yes. There is twice as much competition now in many areas of business. They will have to change with the changing business world and step up to be more qualified for their jobs.
Are there women who go overboard and think all men are evil/useless? Yes. But a lot of these women have been abused by evil men and are harboring a hatred because of that. Some of them are single-moms who worked their lives away to raise a child, only to have someone say they "need a man." Heck, no, they do not.
Love, understanding, support and equality is the best prevention against the "ultra feminism" trend.
Are women raising their standards for men because of their freedom? Yes.
If you are joining a business and you have the options of being under a young female manager who is enthusiastic about her job or a older man who's just "been there forever," you will pick the woman 100%.
It is not because he is a man, it is because she just raised the bar and he no longer is the best option.
It's the same in dating circle. My dad isn't going to tell me who I can marry...so I will marry/date whoever I like best. Just because you are handsome and male doesn't mean I want you. I personally like masculine guys...but I also like masculine guys who like music and flowers and cuddling and kittens. That's my choice.
And that's not a bad thing. It's okay for men to step up and fill a roll because women ask them to. We have been filling the roles we were asked for many years.
We build off each-other. Together we are stronger.
Respectful men who view woman as equals while still opening our peanut-butter jars will never, ever be obsolete.
most women including family would not agree with you but i do 100 percent
From what I can tell, this stuff is just women starting to move away from men as romantic partners or friends. Not society as a whole, just singular individuals. It's not bad in my opinion (at least what I described), as it is their choice.
