You are like Sweden with less cultural influence within Europe and less gang crimes.

Helsinki has a good airport. A lot of people's surname is Kohonen. You applied to join NATO recently.

That's all I have.

Happy independence day !

So what I know is that your apparent stereotypes and what you're actually like are pretty different actually. Mainly the depression one.

Some racers and athletes I know from Finland: Häkkinen, Keke Rosberg, Salo, Bottas and Räikönnen. Marcus Grönholm, Timo and Tommi Mäkinen. Riku Kiri and Janne Virtanen.
Rallying is big in Finland. Racing in general.

About grammar: They got 15 cases!

FACT: The Moomins were created in Finland

SOMETHING I'D HEARD: I heard that your speeding/driving offence fines are based on your income. If that's true, it's fecking awesome.

INTERESTING LITTLE NUGGET: The 'Life in Norway' website often features articles about Finland, so much so that when my sister visited Finland, she planned most of her trips based on their articles. BTW, she loved it.
