I like harry potter and i've re-read the series like 7 times... People like it because its an entirely new branch of magic. Also its simply fun to read. you have your own taste in books. I have my own. If you dont like the Harry potter series,,, IT doesnt matter.

You know the funny thing is that I am very, very much a reader, I have giant shelves of books and mangas and Harry Potter never really quite did it for me. It was ok, but I didn't really find it special. I think people like it for the ships, like draco x harry potter, but I don't know.

It varies. It generally gives security, but it doesn't guarantee happiness. The sense of connection can be terrific, but I know people who've had to sever that connection. I can imagine that one of the difficulties of not having parents is lacking a sense of connection to a particular unit of people. Going into therapy, I had family as a point of reference, so that's one advantage, even if my family members averaged out to semi-functional. I could compare members to each other and to what other families are like.

Truly depends on the individual. My mother had two parents that didn't really care for her, they just had kids because that's what you did in the 50s. She grew up feeling like she was on her own, they were there, but they didn't want to help. My father left when I was 2 months old, I will never know what having a father is like in that way. However, because of that, I have the option to create my own version of what I believe a father should be. I will never look up to a man who will let me down, or abuse me, or die. By having the hole already there, we will never know the pain of having that hole created.

I def know what you're saying when you say destroy, but... life finds a way. It just might not be as pleasant to us as it will be to microscopic organisms and bacteria. Are echidnas monotremes and marsupials? They lay eggs, but they lay their eggs into a little pouch where it is incubated for a little over a week before hatching and nursing inside the pouch.

Hi there! An echidna is a combination of mammal, reptile, and marsupial. Echidnas produce milk, but unlike mammals, they are egg-laying creatures and like marsupials. They have a modified pouch for nurturing their babies. Monotremes are mammals that lay eggs. Marsupials are mammals that give birth to live young. These mammals have a pouch where their young grow and develop. Marsupials are hairy, warm blooded, and produce milk. After all these informations, I think echidna is kind of combination. I'm not sure, so I will search about it more and let you know!

Thank you:) I think the "proper" term is monotreme and echidnas are one of 2 species in the monotreme group along with duckbilled platypuses.

A question to atheists: if you don't believe in God, heaven, nor hell, then why do you do good stuff? If you think they're not gonna pay off in the end then why do you do good stuff? I really don't mean to sound mean or rude, I'm sorry, I'm just trying to understand :)

Just because someone is an atheist doesn't mean they don't have morals. I am an atheist who does witchcraft sometimes, but I have personal morals: being kind to myself and doing my best to be a decent human being. I don't need god to be good.

Because all of society would crumble if we didn't do "good stuff" and there is a good feeling associated with helping. Additionally, positive societal expectations are beneficial to the survival of our population in an evolutionary context. I would also like to note that I do good stuff without thinking about a "pay-off" - so if you do your good stuff for an expected reciprocating pay-off - is is really good?

As a Christian, I do not do good for it to pay off. The bible is clear that we are saved by FAITH, not deeds. (We should be good, but it is not a pass to heaven). I do good because I have seen so much cruelty that I want to at least TRY to be a counterweight.

Ok. I still have morals. I don't do it for me though. I believe that everything just ends in black. And that sounds horrible so I don't wanna kill anyone, so I don't. I don't wish suffering in this world on anyone, so I'm not gonna inflict it on people. And I see people who are suffering, and I want to make their limited time on this earth as enjoyable as possible, so I'm gonna try to help them.

Ethics. What's right and what's wrong isn't set. Some things change over time. If you believe in God and that he says what's right or wrong that would mean that there were/are endless souls in hell who didn't even know they would go to hell because during their time they would have been a "good" person but from our perspective maybe not so much....it just doesn't work out.

I would prefer an unlimited supply of energy, compassion, or determination. I know it’s three, but I just realized the qualities I value above all this very moment. It used to be loyalty, kindness, and intelligence but it’s kind of not what I need right now.

Advice? So I'm in middle school, and I have a boyfriend. Most kids in our school just like someone so they date and then break up when they think they're ugly. My and him like each other a lot (at least I do) so we actually put in effort. The thing is is that I don't have a phone, so we can't text or anything, plus we never see each other outside of school because of (a lot of reasons). We have a shared document, but you don't get a notification whenever the other edits, so we hardly ever can talk. Plus our teacher found out so we can't talk in English like we used to. I like him a lot because he's cute and smart and funny and nice, but I want to make sure that our relationship doesn't just, I don't know, die... Also, I'm pretty sure that a friend (he's a friend of both of us) is trying to break us up because he likes me. One other quick thing is that I have social anxiety. I have a lot of friends and I talk a lot to cover it up, but you could tell if you really knew me. Thank you guys for reading through this, do you have any advice?

Old school phone talk can be nice, but boys that age even back in the 90s couldn't stay still enough to carry a decent conversion. I've heard kids in Japan liked to exchange diaries daily, that can be more personal and ongoing than a letter.

Simply be human. Rejection is going to happen to each and every one of us, you don't need to do anything particular for it.

This! You get rejected a few times and you're like oh, hey, I'm still alive. This isn't the end of the world after all. And then your skin just gets thicker and thicker, and it's awesome, best part of being an adult, haha

Not yet, I'm pretty sure. Might still need a permit, legally, but how would you enforce that? They're trying to figure out what the hell to do with 3D printed plastic guns at the moment.

Every pregnancy is different, even multiple pregnancies by the same woman. Many have indigestion, back ache, changes in how they smell, etc. But not all, some women don't even know they are pregnant until either late term or right up to the date.

Picky about flavors or textures or..? Both really difficult. Start with one thing, and cook it different ways to create different textures. Introduce flavors one or two at a time if flavor can be overwhelming. If it's produce, try it both cooked and raw, if applicable. Potatoes can be mashed, in salad, soup, shredded in hashbrowns, sliced thin and baked with cheese and cream, heavily spiced in curry, baked whole, or fried. What I think I'm saying is potatoes are great.

Start with something similar in what texture or flavour you like. Both of my children are very texturally picky, especially my son. They both love green vegetables and my son loves bell peppers so I started with things cooked with cabbage or brussel sprouts, now they adore squash, eggs, 'veggie meat', and fish.

Try sandwiches. Pretty basic and you can put pretty much any filling in them to suit your taste.

I'm mainly picky about flavor. I am good with all fruit except papaya. I am good with most vegetables. Main thing: I don't really like sauces unless it's cheese sauce or chocolate sauce. No spicy things. That's basically my pickiness.

Why did people think that Trump for President would be a good idea?

My two cents: I think because he was different. And he spoke in short easy to understand phrases and hit all the right emotions compounding heavily on the fear some people have of immigrants, different cultures, America's changing demographics, and the changes in cultural norms established a generation ago.

Pls don't downvote just because I voted for Trump, but here's why I did: 1) I like his policies 2) He's done more for the black community than any other president {excluding Lincoln} 3) He is NOT homophobic 4) y'all gotta understand that literally half of America hates him, but he still managed to work through it all and do good things 5) Biden literally hasn't done anything in 40 sum years

I disagree with what you have said and your reasoning, but you certainly have the right to your views and opinions as an American. Thank you for expressing those. Given the recent BLM protests and Trump's apparent affiliation and/or support of white supremacist groups, would you explain what you believe Trump has done for the black community? I am absolutely not being judgmental of facetious, I am genuinely curious. Thank you.

why would he want to pardon the terrorists. Trump has many cards he can play right now he is just waiting to use them. what example are they going to set, showing how much of a douchse they are, How they don't care that the election is rigged(an idiot could notice)because dead people have been voting for(guess what) biden, also animals have bben voting (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HuheakJdIU)(https://youtu.be/gXIhnUHiuSA)

It would set a clear example that the rules apply to everyone, even presidents. People would have wanted to impeach him even if his presidency was still going strong and wasn't nearly ending, so this would probably have happened anyway.

Because actions have consequences, even if you are the President. You can't ignore actions and refuse to impose consequences simply because the end of his term is (thankfully) near. The point is that it is a proper and necessary action under the laws of this country.

It could be a lack of things that make you happy, but if you mean serious, intense depression, I think that is usually do to a chemical imbalance in the brain. Anyway, good luck finding happiness, I wish you luck and fortune. One thing you can do to make things a little easier is trying to find someone to talk to. That is always a blessing. :)

My guess is you're either missing something essential in life, or you're very aware of the state of the world. Or it's just a brain thing, not enough electric. Not enough electric is from a comedy sketch about a medical drama that doesn't use any technical terms. "Get me that medicine! No not that medicine, the other medicine!" "Oh it looks like this man died from.. not enough electric"
