Just wanted to see how the two compare, and maybe examples from people.

I genuinely don't know. I think I'm a pessimist cause anxiety but I'm a very cheerful and confident person, so those don't really work together.

A pessimist, but I have a bad habit of building up expectations for stuff. I get all the saltiness, none of the "I'm either right or pleasantly surprised"

Depends on situation and if someone is there to judge me.

I'm an optimist! Of course I can be brought down to Earth when necessary, but overall I can always see the good in people and situations that some wouldn't be able to see. It does suck sometimes though.

Optimist! I am an emotional person whose emotions can severely hinder me if I think too negatively.
In high school, I was so optimistic that my friends were convinced that I started an optimism cult and I dragged them into it against their will. I can now say that two of them are more optimistic after being around me for so long.
The other im still working on. 😁

Pessimist. I hate myself and assume everyone hates me, and that everything will turn out for the worse. Plus my anxiety and overthinking. BUt I see the best in people.
