Be yourself.
If you are one of the beautiful popular people, (which I'm sure you are) be kind to the geeks they are valid human beings too. Treat everyone with respect.
If you are a geek embrace your geekiness. Find your tribe of other geeks and support each other doing the things you enjoy.
Enjoy it all you will shine.

As a soon-to-be senior, remember to think ahead, don't fall behind, and make sure to have fun. Make friends, good friends, that will care for you as you them. And as always, know that there are good people everywhere, it can be hard sometimes, but there will always be someone to help you, wether at home or school.

Also,(and you might already know this)if you want to get into a relationship with someone, get to know them a lil bit first. Don't date them just cuz they're cute.

Nope. Middle school is worse than high school, so if you made it through middle school, you’ll be just fine.

Starting as a freshman? Alright mate listen, you NEED friends. Maybe friends from ur old school or make new ones, but you have to have a group of people. It’s just better that way. I had a group that I sat with during lunch made up of people from my old school. At my old school they were just classmates basically but there they became my friends. Some of em drove me crazy, others were pretty decent. But still you need a group so you’re not alone. Also try and maybe have at least one friend in each class. I didn’t really have that so I kinda…hm..used a lot of BoredPanda during class. But try and have some friends in each class. Also make sure to choose electives you like. Also if you CAN. Wait. Never mind. I was gonna say take PE and Health online so u don’t have to do it in person, but I assume ya haven’t done that. So u gotta do it in person. You’ll mainly be learning about drugs, stds, utis, and reproduction in health btw. Also don’t…take no offense be weird. I had TONS of weird kids I saw my freshman year. Some going “full furry” others dressing up as maids with fat ears and spiky haired wigs. So don’t do stuff like that, it’s an easy way to be made fun of. I would now because me and my friends were making fun because it’s so stupid. I’d say…join some clubs, but also focus on ur classes, I gtg for now and this is getting long. I’ll post again if I come up with more advice.🤘

The furry thing fsfs. Also I had only one period where I had no friends in my class bc both of my friends dropped the class so it sucked.

High School is not the end of the world. Yeah it will help if you do well, but you can always resit exams, take classes etc after High School if required.

Do not take the High School dramas seriously. As you get older you will look at some of your teen angst and laugh.

Do NOT fall in with the bad kids, do not smoke/drink/do drugs just because it seems cool or you feel peer pressure to do so.

Join whatever clubs seem interesting to you, focus on your classes, and don't be afraid to ask for help, most people are just trying their best, and are in the same boat as you. High school classes are a lot of fun, you get much more freedom of choice, if your school offers AP classes try to take whatever seems interesting or useful, they're trickier, but worth it. Also, don't feel pressured to date, and don't get involved in drama or with people who cause drama. And, don't feel like you need to take a class or join a club just because your friends are, do what interests you, you'll find kindred spirits.

As someone going through it currently, heres what I’ve found
    1. Find a good group of friends and stick with them. it’s easy to lose old friends in the influx of new people, but try to maintain old and new friendships
    2. People are jerks in high school, don’t be afraid to cut someone off who’s repeatedly screwed you over.
    3. Relationships, in my personal opinion of course, are super overrated in high school. Don’t rush into anything and just try to find someone you enjoy spending time with over anything else they have to offer
    4. Most of all, don’t get into anything illegal. Drugs, drinking, even vaping. It’s easy to get addicted and hard to get off of it. Just stay away
    5. This doesn’t really matter freshman year, but try to take classes that will be useful. Im going for a tech type degree, so I’m not going to throw all my time into art or theoretical philosophy

    6. Good luck and have fun!

Here is my advice as a furry (I do not dress up though) who is going into my senior year. People WILL judge you no matter what you do so I mean this with all my heart when I say DO WHATEVER MAKES YOU HAPPY!!! If you're going to be judged anyway then you might as well be judged for living your best life. Being happy can also do a huge play for your overall school life because you will be more likely to view life with a more positive outlook and therefore have more motivation to contribute to your future. I know it's difficult to feel like you're living outside the norm if you ever do feel that way, but another thing you can take into consideration is that you're only going to see these people for a few more years anyway and it won't effect you in the long run. Good luck, I'm rooting for you!! And I know you don't know me very well but I think you're pretty cool and will want to hear all about your experience throughout the year :)

Try your best not to fall behind in any classes, remember to ask for help if needed, make friends, don’t do drugs, smoke, or drink. Be organized as well, and basically what everyone else has said. If you are a more introverted person, try to make more extroverted people that you’re friends with make friends for you (that’s what I did lol). If anyone gives you sh*t for not doing stuff they do/ not acting the way they want you to, if you don’t want to do it, then don’t. Be yourself, don’t let people control you. You are awesome the way you are, if someone doesn’t like you for being yourself, they can go die. Remembering that you can ask for help with schoolwork and other stuff is very important. If you feel like you can’t finish something before the due date, ask for an extension, or help. If you have questions about what I wrote, or high school, feel free to ask them. (I may not be able to help with America-specific questions, I’m Canadian)

Make sure your study life and social life is balanced. Study in advance for test so you're not stressed and you can still enjoy highschool without cramming at the end.
