I saw a post about this on Twitter, but I wanted to know about it here.

I love crocuses. Particularly the purple ones.

They signal the end of winter and the birth of spring and everything that comes with that. The nesting birds, the frogs and toads, all those little furry creatures that have been hibernating, the trees in bud, the blossom coming. Also, their beauty is enhanced by a snowy or frosty backdrop. For cut flowers, I would go with daffodils for the same reasons.

Lantanas, the multicolor variety. Mexican bird-of-paradise. And of course roses, particularly the varieties that Mark planted for Mom and Dad in their backyard: Julie Newmar, Julia Child, Barbra Streisand. All gorgeous with phenomenal aromas.

I’m not allowed to have a favorite flower because I’m a straight male…

Haha f**k that my favorite flower is those beautiful gradient purple and white ones, like the common ones you can find at a Walmart garden area. (So I don’t know the actual name of the flower, sue me.)
I love the smell and I love the way they look.

My dad is a floral designer. He loves a beautiful large maple leaf and weeping spruce pine. Spends most of his time with cherry blossoms.

The passion flower - it looks like an entire circus that bloomed on a vine. Besides that, the passion fruit is incredibly delicious, like a savory lemon.

Hydrangeas for their colours, fullness and scent are up there.
But Hibiscus takes 1st place. Smells, looks and tastes great in teas.

I am terrible at remembering the names of plants and flowers. I just love flowers. The trees are blooming right now in Portland, and the pink and white canopies are breathtaking.

Hard to pin one down, Lilacs as they (and apple trees) were always around old abandoned homesteads when I was a kid, Dandelions because they are up early in the spring for my wild bees and Fushias just because.
