Hey babes. I don't know about you, but I am so....bugging....tired. Sometimes life and everything in it can feel so exhausting. Is this even worth it? It can feel like it's not. I know I've felt that so strongly this week. What's some happy news you've heard lately? Maybe together, we can all cheer each other up.

My little friends (ages 4 and 2, I think) came into my work today and told me all about how they read books about ducks today at the kid's library club. Their baby sister smiled at me too.
Made my day.

I'll go first. This last week has been, simply put, heck. I've watched people pass away and received diagnoses for loved ones, and everything is so much. But there's good. Everywhere. My good news of the week is that other people feel the same way! And they catalog the good news. I highly encourage y'all to check out https://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/, https://theweek.com/good-news, https://www.today.com/news/good-news, not to mention there are tons more. My favorite piece of good news right now that pertains to me, personally, is that I have a friend who was becoming increasingly suicidal, who is now getting the help she needs.

That sucks, but I'm very happy to hear about your friend. In the end, there really is good stuff happening everywhere, its just that bad news gets more attention.

Just gonna add a second answer here because why not
There's a new kid in my trumpet section who's a year younger than me and sits next to me and I've been trying to give him some pointers as he learns. He talks a lot of s**t but it's pretty clear that he's trying to impress me and it's kinda cute while also being a bit of a problem as he keeps trying to show me his progress while the band director is talking which is really not ideal for anyone involved. Still, I love kids and teaching and it's great to have a bit of that during the school year instead of waiting for my volunteer work to kick up in the summer
