At 06:00 Moscow time (03:00 GMT) yesterday, Europe entered its darkest hours since WWII. Putin announced a “military operation” in Ukraine’s eastern Donbas region. Immediately, unprecedented armed violence on innocent people of Ukraine followed.
In the coming hours, repeated explosions were heard in Mariupol, Kyiv, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Lutsk, Kherson, and Nikolaev, as it became clear the whole country was under attack. Videos of the capital Kyiv blasted by cruise or ballistic missiles emerged, with roads getting completely clogged with cars as residents desperately tried to escape. In a bid to hide from airstrikes, people packed their bags, bundled up against the cold, and took shelter in underground subway stations. As the world closed its eyes for the night’s rest, here in shelters, men and women, elders and children didn’t dare to fall asleep.
Putin’s war already took the lives of 137 innocent civilians and military personnel on the first day of Russia’s invasion, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said. Today, Friday the 25th, the fatalities are likely to increase as the country waits for what Anton Herashchenko, an adviser to the country's interior minister, called the war's 'hardest day,' warning of potential tank assault on Kyiv.
Below are the raw and heartbreaking moments of the violent war happening in Ukraine right now. The war that many felt was impossible in the advanced century we live in today. So today the world stands strong with Ukraine.

"The breathtaking bravery of Russian citizens who know they’ll be arrested, and worse, for protesting the war and do it anyway"
We reached out to a native Ukrainian Yev Kanivets, a professional mobile engineer who has witnessed Russia's invasion firsthand. He shared his first-hand account with Bored Panda on what happened the past two days.
Yev was living in Kharkiv, which is one of the major cities attacked by Putin. “I woke up at 5 a.m. from the explosions in MY CITY. I was prepared and lucky enough to evacuate in one hour. There were traffic jams around the city, so we spent almost 2 hours going far enough,” Yev wrote in a heartbreaking post on Linkedin.
“I was lucky to evacuate. My wife and I were driving our car the whole day, 14 hours, like crazy to get as far as we could from the danger. We are exhausted, stressed, and worried about mothers who remained in the Kharkiv region.”
When Yev arrived at Kropivnitskiy, he and his family already had a room booked to stay at night. “The hostess was very nice to us,” he said.
“We didn't eat anything the whole day because of stress and couldn't sleep enough. There were Ukrainian jet-fighters flying over us the whole night, so no bombs were dropped. But we couldn't sleep anyway. We worried a lot about our friends that stayed in Kharkiv, which was bombarded and attacked by tanks,” Yev recounted.
The next morning Yev said they woke up tired, still stressed. “But, obviously, it's much better to wake up because of the sun, not explosions. In this part of Ukraine, there were no fights, no Russian troops, it was much easier to get the fuel,” he said. So they fueled the car and departed to the small city near Uman. “Hot dogs and coffee at the fuel station were our breakfast in the new world,” he said.
While driving, Yev and his family visited many small cities. “There was no single person in panic. Everybody stayed calm, friendly, and ready for anything. No problems with goods or resources.”
Because they planned their trip at night and in a hurry, there was a mistake with the booking date. “So when we arrived at Tulchin and asked for our booking we discovered it was for tomorrow. Hence we didn't have a place to spend a night in,” he said.
Yev said that it was the first time we called hotels by phone in our whole lives since he said, “we’re Booking and Airbnb generation.” “We called about a dozen hotels, and all places were taken. Then we tried to increase the area and, finally, found a small room 40 minutes from us. At this point, we were totally exhausted again,” he told us. Yev said that finally, they’re going to sleep well.
"An 80-year-old who showed up to join the Ukrainian army, carrying with him a small case with 2 t-shirts, a pair of extra pants, a toothbrush and a few sandwiches for lunch. He said he was doing it for his grandkids"
“I (and other 40 million Ukrainians) are fully aligned with what official Ukraine's Twitter account says about the situation. The only thing I'd added from my personal experience is that I've never seen Ukraine this united–the Russian invasion was like a catalyst,” Yev said.
Yev urges foreigners to follow the official trustworthy accounts of the Ukrainian government, like this one. “Spread what you see there, so everybody knows what's happening,” he said.
Another way to help is to peacefully press your government to help Ukraine and sanction Russia, says Yev. Donations are very needed as well, so if you want to help Ukraine and support the future of democracy, scroll down below for the list of charities.
"Red paint thrown at the Russian Embassy in Ireland. We stand with you, Ukraine"
More then 10 thousand people in Vilnius, Lithuania, walked up to the Russian embassy to demand peace
President Joe Biden yesterday released a statement condemning Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, and called the attack “unprovoked and unjustified.” Biden stated that “Russia alone is responsible for the death and destruction this attack will bring, and the United States and its Allies and partners will respond in a united and decisive way.” He assured that “the world will hold Russia accountable.”
On Thursday, Biden unveiled a list of sanctions on Russia to punish the country for its full-scale military invasion of Ukraine. The new sanctions include export blocks on technology, a centerpiece of Biden's approach to limit Russia's advancement of its military and aerospace sector as much as possible. In addition, sanctions were applied on Russian banks and "corrupt billionaires," as well as their families who are close to the Kremlin.
However, there was disappointment that the round of sanctions unveiled by the US and Europe did not remove Russia from the SWIFT financial messaging system. Here is the list of global sanctions applied on Russia for the war in Ukraine.

"Ukrainian army official Facebook account shares how this soldier sacrificed his life to stop the russians from entering the capital by blowing up a bridge:
THE HEROES OF THE MOMENTUM. Pidled the city together with myself #stoprussia On this difficult day for our country, when the Ukrainian people give away to the Russian occupiers in all directions, one of the hardest places on the map of Ukraine was the Crimean intersection, where one of the first enemies met a separate marine battalion. In order to stop the promotion of the tank column, a decision was made to overthrow the Geniche Car Bridge. The engineer of a separate battalion sailor Skakun Vitaliy Volodymyrovich was called to perform this task. The bridge was replaced, but he didn't have time to get out of there. According to the words of the brothers, Vitaliy came out of contact, and informed about what pídrivâ the bridge. There was an explosion right away. Our brother was killed. His heroic act significantly slowed down the push of the enemy, allowing the unit to relocate and organize defense. The Marine Corps Command will be concerned before the higher command about the awarding of the Skakun sailor Vitaliy Volodymyrovich state award. Russian invaders, know, under your feet the earth will burn! We will fight as long as we live! And as long as we are alive we will fight!"

"Protester burns his russian passport in front of Russian embassy in tel aviv, israel"
Russians have turned out by the thousands to decry their country’s invasion of Ukraine as emotional calls for protests grew on social media.
.
Some 1,745 people in 54 Russian cities were arrested on Thursday, at least 957 of them in Moscow.
.
As sirens blasted in Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital, and large explosions were heard there and in other cities, Russians were signing open letters and online petitions demanding the Kremlin halt the assault, which the Ukrainian president said had killed at least 137 Ukrainians and wounded dozens more.
.
One petition, started by a prominent human rights advocate, Lev Ponomavyov, garnered more than 330,000 signatures by the end of the day.
.
More than 250 journalists put their names on an open letter decrying the aggression. Another one was signed by some 250 scientists, while 194 municipal council members in Moscow and other cities signed a third one.
.
Several Russian celebrities and public figures, including some working for state TV, spoke out against the attack. Yelena Kovalskaya, director of a state-funded Moscow theatre, announced on Facebook she was quitting her job, saying “it’s impossible to work for a killer and get paid by him”.
.
Russia’s Investigative Committee issued a warning on Thursday afternoon reminding Russians that unauthorised protests are against the law.
.
Despite the pressure from the authorities, more than 1,000 people gathered in the centre of Moscow on Thursday evening, chanting “No to war!” as passing cars honked their horns.

I am just in grief at what is happening, but so inspired by the brave Ukrainians, and so many Russians who are standing against Putin. I so badly want the entire world to come together in a non-combat way to bring Putin down and stop this invasion and prevent another global war. The hackers have so much power. I hope they can completely screw up communications for Russia. We need blackout sanctions from every country in the world against Russia. Nothing in, nothing out. I know we all stand with the people of Ukraine. If you feel your government is not doing enough (mine in the UK is definitely not), email your representatives, email your national leader, post publicly. Save Ukraine and it's people.
I agree with every word you said. Except I'm from Germany. But we're also not doing enough.
Load More Replies...this is just so so sad, i pray for people of Ukraine, we have common borders with (Slovakia) and are affraid as well, where it will end? How can be somebody in 21st century so cruel to begin a war…
Hey I am Greek!! They won't stop honey. They are coming for all of us. And it will result in ww3...
Load More Replies...This is horrible. As a Russian, I feel nauseous and helpless, and still in shock. This should not have happened...
I just want to say, to all those suggesting we nuke Russia as a solution: NUKES ARE NEVER A SOLUTION. Putin seems to be a terrible enough person that if we used ours, he would use his. The second someone fires another nuke, the world is OVER.
Putin has already threatened europe with nukes if they interfere, but I agree nukes are not option.. they are solution however, when someone launches nukes its YOU LOSE for everyone.. that would mean hundreds of millions dying and trying to rebuild after that would be absolute nightmare.
Load More Replies...and then you have Americans over here being like "omg wearing a mask is like WW2 all over again!" ...... Meanwhile in Ukraine.....
It just US, a fringe group in Canada is doing the same stupid thing
Load More Replies...Never in my lifetime did I think we'd see something like this, where WWIII could actually become a reality. What possesses a person to wake up in the morning, lie to the entire planet, then show utter disregard for international law and the sanctity of human life? How do you sleep at night thinking that your legacy will be centuries of being directly compared to Hitler?? I wish I knew what the answer was, but can completely see the risk of another Cold War...
Nothing cold about this war. The violence has begun.
Load More Replies...my heart is breaking at this whole despicable situation. all those brave Ukrainian people standing up to a tyrant, i have no words really.
I stand with Ukraine. I will be a pain in the a** of every senator, representative, etc. in the US to *stop this*. Stand with Ukraine.
Ukrainians are a fearless nation. I live in Poland. Today I watched an interview with a man on our border. He and his colleague were coming back from Poland to Ukraine to fight for their land. When asked if he's scared, he went "No, why should I be scared? I have to go to protect my country." He was so calm, as if going on a roadtrip.
A lot of Ukrainians (mostly women with children) are now in Poland. Poland let everyone through the border (also Ukrainian side stops a lot of people). People from whole Poland are now traveling to the border to take those in need to special centers or their own houses (because we know that there is not enough time to prepare this on country level so we are willing to give people our own rooms, flats and houses). This night only in one city we are expecting another 4000 people traveling by train. If you want to help there is a lot of Polish non-profit organisations gathering funds to help all those people (and their pets as well!). Some of those organisations prepare food, medicines and other necesery things to bringbthem directly to Ukraine which is easier for Poland as we are neighboors.
Why isn’t “You Know Who” in the comment section defending Russia like she has every other day for years?
Probably too busy spreading propaganda on sites with more traffic
Load More Replies...The world as a whole needs to come together and take down Putin! All differences need to be set aside and join together as one to end his tyranny! Prayers for 🇺🇦
I can't believe this is actually happening. I'm so sorry for any Ukrainian that's been hurt in any way. All of you are so strong and brave and you can get through this. Know that you have allies all over the world that stand by you🇺🇦. Also, any Russian that's been protesting and speaking out have gained allies too. You all are brave to protest when you know the punishment could be death. Just remember that evil never wins, so don't give up. And try not to be scared and not do anything about it. I'm absolutely terrified but I'm going to speak out and be obvious about my standing. Go Ukraine!🇺🇦
What really infuriates me is that us Easterners have been telling the West for DECADES to NOT trust the Russian government. Do.Not.Trust.Anything.That.Comes.Out.Of.The.Kremlin. Did they believe us? No. Their arrogance and inability to understand that we do not share the same values and concerns has led us here. Did Western governments really think that a country that sacrificed 28 MILLION people in WW2 and killed further MILLIONS of its own citizens during Communism will not start a bloody conflict out of concern for innocent lives? How f*****g stupid is the West?
Mitt Romney was mocked in 2012 for saying that Russia was our greatest foe.
Load More Replies...the sad thing is, we technically cannot do anything more then sanctions and this, otherwise we might start ww3, and nobody wants that.
Honey it will happen anyway. Russia just proved that they can do whatever the hell they want and we won't do anything. I am Greek and we have attacks in our borders from Turks for years now and even though we are in EU and NATO nobody does anything. The war just started.
Load More Replies...I feel depressed after reading this. I honestly wish with every bone in my body that I could go there and make a difference but I’m too young for that. #LongLiveUkraine
I cannot stop crying. They say generational trauma lasts several generations. My parents were born right after the Korean war, I still carry so much hurt and trauma from the way they have treated and do treat me. They are hurt and twisted from the way their war-scarred parents have raised them, and not only does the hurt and heartbreak of this Ukrainian invasion devastate those involved and living witnesses like us, but the many lives of those to come. Putin is nothing but a vile terrorist. I hope he circulates in an endless emptiness of eternal pain and remorse.
For everyone in Ukraine and surrounding countries. I pray that your soldiers return home safe and you stay safe. We in America are standing with you. I wish I had millions to bring you guys here for shelter. God speed.
One of my friends who i've known for years is from Russia (well, technically, his mom was from russia and immigrated here to america and then gave birth to him but you get it) and it's pretty obvious that he's Russian. He was bullied a lot two years ago cause he got lice, the next year because of his name, and now i'm really worried that the same bully is going to pick on him again but much worse, being that my friend is Russian and yknow the situation.
I hope he gets a stroke, falls down the staircase in the Kremlin, hits his head, has a seizure, and chokes on his own sh*t.
Load More Replies...It's not much but I'll be attending a protest tomorrow in Bristol city centre, this is heartbreaking, I feel so powerless and so sad.
Putin. Not Russia. Prayers for the Russians caught up in this mess and I applaud the brave citizens standing up and protesting for what is right.
Load More Replies...I'm sick to my stomach. Heartbroken. Furious beyond. Please Canada, we need to do so much more. Honor our massive Ukrainian population in Manitoba. My best friend was born there she was second generation Canadian. Her parents were from Ukraine. She was adopted because they died in a fire. She remembered her original name. America, it's not only in YOUR best interest to provide help in defending NATO countries if it comes to that. NATO is "One for all & all for one". We stood with you in Afghanistan. It's your turn to stand with Europe. For anyone who is going to complain about increase in gas prices, I know it's hard right now, but once again, this isn't all about you. It's not all about us here in Canada, where we are paying about $2.00 more per gallon of gas than you (conversion calculation) This is a small price to pay for someone else's freedom. Protesters complain about living under Tyranny. For shame! No. What's happening in Ukraine is Tyranny! Get a clue.
So what exactly would you like them to do? Canada and/or US? I'm not getting at you in particular but I've seen a lot of comments saying 'come on [country], do something'. But what? Do people want troops on the ground? If we think Afghanistan was hard, this is another level. I ask because I'm equally desperately sad about all this but what makes me more upset is I can't think what could actually be done? Besides trying to take them on militarily, what can we do? Not a challenge, genuinely, I'd like to know.
Load More Replies...some of this is ABSO-F**KING-LUTLY BEAUTIFUL, but most is sad. Ukraine can pull through! GLORY TO UKRAINE! 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦

The Ukrainian woman who has no problem speaking to the Russian troopers has more courage in her middle finger than all the Republicans who are afraid to critize Putin's insane actions.
Thank the fsm that i reached the end of this post- I literally want to cry.
It's making use of a vile situation but I'm gonna do it anyway: I hope the antivaxxers who compared the restrictions imposed on them for refusing a vaccine to being Jewish during WWII look at this actual war going on right now and scratch themselves behind the ear realizing what complete, utter, insensitive idiots they've been. Parallel to that, my heart goes out to the Ukrainian people.
Sigh. This is not "World War 3". This is a war that is on camera. I am sorry it happened but in the grand scheme nothing has actually changed between East and West.
I freely admit that I had tears in my eyes several times while watching news coverage of this senseless military confrontation... I feel so moved by the plight of the Ukrainian people and their defence of their country. I know that the majority of the Russian people do not support their leadership's actions- they must feel just as powerless as the rest of us. The whole "free world" must work together to rid Russia of this toxic regime that has caused nothing but bad sh*t since its inception.
Just a big f#@k yeah to how awesome the Ukrainian President is!! Man is a legend!!
Cut the head off the snake.. the troops are pressured into fighting, they have to. The ones who can stop this without more bloodshed is Putin and his staff. Or their replacements.... I dream of Black Widow like activities that make sure he won't wake up the next morning. I am so hoping someone succeeds in that.
I'm not sure what purpose does U.N serve with any one of the 5 nations can veto any kind of bill submitted. U.N feels toothless and needless. It's like a stage for show-off but no real ground action against what is wrong. It's not a democratic world decision. If I'm one of the 5 nations, I can go invade any number of nations and veto for whatever comes in against me. This system sucks. I condemn this Russian arrogance.
Mental Cases Wilfred Owen - 1893-1918 Who are these? Why sit they here in twilight? Wherefore rock they, purgatorial shadows, Drooping tongues from jaws that slob their relish, Baring teeth that leer like skulls’ tongues wicked? Stroke on stroke of pain,—but what slow panic, Gouged these chasms round their fretted sockets? Ever from their hair and through their hand palms Misery swelters. Surely we have perished Sleeping, and walk hell; but who these hellish? —These are men whose minds the Dead have ravished. Memory fingers in their hair of murders, Multitudinous murders they once witnessed. Wading sloughs of flesh these helpless wander, Treading blood from lungs that had loved laughter. Always they must see these things and hear them, Batter of guns and shatter of flying muscles, Carnage incomparable and human squander Rucked too thick for these men’s extrication. Therefore still their eyeballs shrink tormented Back into their brains, because on their sense Sunlight seems a blood
I read this with tears in my eyes. These posts and images show true suffering, and I proudly stand with Ukraine. I pray that they find peace. Adding more: I really wish people, instead of worrying about the war reaching the USA, or growing into a World War, would just instead support others. There's someone out there who might be your same age, work the same job you do, and they are already living the life you dread. Right now, we can hardly imagine the pain they are feeling. We need to have empathy.
It’s almost too much. I almost couldn’t finish this. It’s just painful to see all the suffering and how many people are literally dying for really no good reason. Just greed. Really it’s sadder than most deaths. I never thought in my lifetime I would see this. First 911/War on Terror, then Covid and now this. Is the world getting worst? I’m so scared. Someone asked me why I didn’t want to have kids…..the World is just gone crazy. I don’t even know why I’m writing this but……
this is heartbreaking and terrifying. i'm absolutely terrified as i live in europe, and i wish there was more i could do. i stand with you, fellow yellow and blue!
The sad and scary part is none of the protest, sanctioning, whatever will make a difference. He is a madman who has lost touch with reality. You can not negotiate, you can not threaten. It's time for him to be gone from the face of the earth.
I really hoped I'd never know who fought in WWIII. I wonder if there will be a draft soon. My husband won't be drafted but I know a lot people's will be. It's scary. The devastation in Ukraine is unbelievable. I think it's time to destroy the Russian government and rebuild it. For the Russian people who don't want this to have a safe homeland.
This is going to be a very unpopular comment. I've said for a while, as a Briton, I'm thankful for the US. Don't get me wrong, I am as exasperated as everyone else over Trump, guns, weird healthcare, anti-vaxxers, etc. But ultimately, without the US the story would be very different. My ongoing argument with everyone over why it was important for trump to lose the election, amongst 'obvious' reasons (i.e. he's a twat), is we in the West need the US to be a serious power. Like it or not, it's true. No one seems to be talking about it that I've seen, but China are going to be loving this. A perfect precedent to invade Taiwan.
The insanity that can be caused by ONE person. One person ordering this, one person just wanting more caused all of this.
I don't want to see the pictures because I just can't stop crying. Just want to say STAY STRONG, I'm praying for you all, we all are, and trying to support you in whatever practical way we can. May it all end! You are brave and amazing. I've no words, and crying with you.

I just want to say that ive seen a lot of people blaming the Russians in general but it's Putin and his right hand men not the citizens same goes for all the countries. Often times citizens can't do anything and it's the leaders making all the good or bad decisions. Glory to Ukraine 🇺🇦
There is an excellent book "Prisoners of Geography - Ten maps that tell you everything you need to know about global politics" by Tim Marshall, 2016 pub:Elliott and Thompson. OK...I'm not being nasty or insensitive or anything but is there any hope at all that this doesn't blow into WW3? Because I feel like a lot of countries are going to see this as an opportunity to fight...Albania and Serbia over Kososvo, India and Pakistan over kashmir, China and Japan over Taiwan...just to name a few...also this will increase already existing conficts in the middle East where just last week Syria was attacked by Israel, Yemen was attacked by Saudi Arabia ...and even other regions like Somalia which just got bombed by the US this last week ..these are just few examples I can think of right now....and it seems like putin is not going to stop in Ukraine..people in Romania Lithuania etc are already fearing for their safety. Is the pain and suffering of yet another world war really worth everything he hopes to achieve when most countries have barely recovered from ww2? People...I need to know what you think..Will puti be stopped in time?Or are we about to witness another
IF INSANE PUTIN is not stopped now he will just keep going. HE IS F*****G INSANE with delusions or taking over all of Europe and bringing the world to its knees to him. HE MUST BE STOPPED. ALL of the world cannot just keep saying well he will stop at Ukraine and then he will stop at Lithuania then Poland and then WHAT. WE MUST STOP HIM. I keep hoping his generals will kill him. ALL it takes is one bullet and save the world. The General/soldier who does this will be a hero to the world for all time.
My heart aches for those suffering. I just cannot fathom why or how 1 man can be so cruel and cause such harm to others, and for what? I'm scared for them, myself, and everyone else as well. Things are getting worse as far as humanity goes and I just want it to stop.
F**k putin f*****g prick. Steriod injexted monster. Defo not overcompensating for anything like a tiny d**k or having no balls
I now want to skin putin with a rusty butter knife then trow him into a volcano
It's incredibly difficult to see the pictures, read the posts and news articles of what's happening in Ukraine without wanting to break down and cry. My heart hurts for the Ukrainian people. Putin is a real life, modern day Bond villain.
What will happen to the protesters? Especially because 80% Russians support this? My heart shatters... Please remember my friend's childrens' orphanages in Oleshki. The nannies abandoned all of the disabled children and they are scared and those who are able are trying their hardest to take care and comfort those who cannot, like babies and severely disabled. Their children has communication with friends and siblings still there and it doesn't look good.... Please pray for them. Russia could care less for disabled.
No no. For the war responsible is Putin. But don't f*****g act like Americans are heroes. Americans have committed many war crimes. And they have slaughtered thousands of hundreds innocent civilians with the excuse that they fighting terrorists. Exactly what Russia does now.
I want to help. Does anyone have any resources they could link? I don't have the financial means to donate money, and I've called and emailed lots of politicians in hopes that maybe that will do something. I just feel so powerless, I can't even imagine how these poor people are feeling. My heart breaks for them.
It would be much cheaper to make Russia so attractive that countries would be queuing up to be friends. But, I guess Putin's mates wouldn't be so rich then. There is a very good reason why refugees head for the USA and Europe rather than Russia. I guess if the majority of Russians protested in concert the police and the military would have to take notice and he'd be deposed. Very few soldiers and cops have the stomach for pointing their guns at their grandmothers.
In my opinion, I don't think Putin is a stupid person, he's evil and savvy sure but not stupid. I don't believe he would have risked such a ballsy move if he didn't think he could get away with it. He could have invaded other neighboring countries already over the past years for joining NATO, but he didn't. There's something more to this plan, whether this is the beginning of his evil takeover, or just a warning to the West and NATO, he has a plan. Also, while I'm warmed to see the universal response from civilians around the world, I'm DISGUSTED at the response by the US and NATO. Biden says he knew the sanctions wouldn't work? No s**t, Sherlock.
Biden said the sanctions would not keep Russia from attacking, not that they wouldn't work. We are doing something. We have imposed strict sanctions on Russia which will cripple their economy and next will block them from Swift. We have also sent $650 million in defense equipment in the past year and Biden just pledged another $350 million in weapons to be sent. We cannot physically send troops into Ukraine to fight. That's not how it works. Doing so would start WWIII. What exactly do you think the US or any other country should do?

They've shown their true colors; fascists and cowards.
My question is why did NATO wait for so long to include Ukraine in the group. Now that the country has been invaded none of them are ready to stand and fight. Say's quite a few things about NATO's principles of defending their group. The blame lies at their doorstep.
Because they know its a provocation for Putin placing the enemy directly at its border, who was already angry sbout the expansion of the NATO and weapons so close to his borders (which also would be against the Minsk Agreement). If a country has unstable borders it can't join the NATO anymore and also Ukraine has reserves of coal, iron ore, natural gas, manganese, oil.. and an important industrial east.
Load More Replies...THIS IS A WAY OF PUTIN HOLDING POWER AND SHAKING HIS FIST AT DEMOCRACY. HE IS AFRAID THAT AS UKRAINE BECOMES MORE AND MORE ACCUSTOMED TO WESTERN WAYS, HIS STAYING POWER AS A HARD-FISTED LEADER OF HIS PEOPLE WILL DETERIORATE.
I sometimes wonder if people in the military have no morality? Like, why would obey such incredibly stupid orders? Why not say, “Hey, these people are our brothers and sisters! We’re not going to invade them!”? War in any century doesn’t make sense, but right now in this century, it is ridiculous. The military needs to turn around and arrest that son of a bastard, Putin, and turn him over. He has been bending the Russian people over for far too long. The military doesn’t “have” to obey orders. They only do so because they are afraid of what will happen to them if they don’t. But, is it better to actually kill another human being or to be arrested for disobeying orders? I guess your answer determines the type of person you really are.
I'm a chef so I know how important food is. Here is one of the many reasons the strong people of Ukraine will kick the filthy russian's butts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ID_eFoIemjU&ab_channel=Steve1989MREInfo Steve's vids are actually quite calming.
Funny how the things that happened in Canada are not mentioned a single time here. Leaders who are saying that their own people are terrorists, stomping on disabled people, freezing bank accounts, sending troops on the streets, stealing donations etc... Stay strong Ukraine AND Canada

I hope they can completely screw up communications for Russia. We need blackout sanctions from every country in the world against Russia. Nothing in, nothing out.

Yeah, tanks are rolling over your family car as we read these......

This history has filtered out propaganda: https://fair.org/home/what-you-should-really-know-about-ukraine/ The NATO countries are standing with the US/Ukraine. The rest of the world has been silent or supportive of Russia. African countries, India, silent. Follow Margaret Kimberley at @freedomrideblog As for the allegation that neo-Nazis are doing the main attacking on Donbas, it is true. Rights groups in Israel have demanded that Israel stop arming neo-Nazis in Ukraine https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/rights-groups-demand-israel-stop-arming-neo-nazis-in-the-ukraine-1.6248727 This is in fact a replay of WWII when Ukrainian Nazis under Stepan Bandera actively joined the Holocaust, killing Jews, Russians, and Ukrainians who didn't agree with them. Humor is important in these times. Stop spreading propaganda.
The West sits by and does nothing but talk - just as they did when Hitler did the same thing.
Agreed. When was the last time Europe stood up to any evil? But the do love to pass resolution after resolution condemning Israel.

To be fair, Ukraine was part of the USSR before they collapsed. Not saying the invasion is right, I'm just saying they once were part of the USSR.
A lot of land was part of something once - what are you trying to say?
