Before I'd seen any film, I did imagine Peeves looking like how Rick Mayall did in Drop Dead Fred. But was disappointed that Mayall's scenes as Peeves had been cut. He's in the books so much, it's criminal he wasn't in the films. Especially in Order of the Phoenix.

What I learned from this one is there are multiple version of the movie out there....Lots of people are claiming to have seen a lot of these scenes but I can confirm they are not present in the versions I've watched.

yes. everybody has different versions of the movie. some people have scenes in their movie that were cut out later, some people have scenes that were added later, some people don't have any of these. but everyone keeps commenting on it and honestly i think it's a waste to do so. it's just different versions of the movie! all of these scenes were probably cute out at SOME point but not for each version

There. Are. Multiple. Versions. My gosh!!! The comments, from the same people, over and over, are insane. The title was misleading. None of these were in the theatrical releases. But it seems every time they're on television, new scenes are added. It's why I keep watching them! It's fun!

A lot of these were bonus features on the DVDs, too. I always thought they should have made each book from Goblet of Fire onwards into 2 movies.

The ONLY WAY . was to make this into a series , and each season a year. And each chapter a episode. Just copypaste everything word by word line by line but like more dramatic. I liked the fight scene at the end of OOP . It was much better and visually appealing

Depending on which broadcasting network is airing the films, they include the deleted scenes that were not part of the theatrical release. Hence why when you buy copies of the film, you can get the extended edition, the theatrical release or you get bonus features, which are typically the cut scenes.

One: multiple versions, good lord people!! Two: Almost all of these (and more) were in the books, just showing further that the books are so much better than the movies because of these small details that build the characters. It's so hard to translate good writing in a book into a good film.

I loved the books, so I was very angry about the changes they made for the movies. Two are the worst, in my opinion. At the end of "Sorcerer's Stone" ("Philosopher's Stone" in the UK), the fight between Harry and Professor Quirrell was severely downplayed. In the book, Harry nearly died. The other change that I found really offensive was how they "Hollywoodized" then ending of "Deathly Hallows, Part II." The physical fight between Potter and "He Who Must not be Named" was appalling and unforgivable.
