It’s a shame that some of the purest animals on the planet—dogs—often end up homeless and in shelters. Do Something says that every 10th dog actually finds a permanent home, and they most often end up in shelters because they are given away or are found as strays on the streets. A sad sight all around.

So, to cheer some shelter puppers up, one Facebook user decided to get some fancy doggy treats and to bring them to the local dog shelter, where the dogs were ecstatic to see her and the treats!

Know how to brighten up a shelter dog’s day? Well, get them a couple of boxes of puppuccinos, of course!

Blaise Landry from Marrero, Louisiana recently shared a post with a bunch of photos and videos of shelter dogs enjoying puppuccinos (a play on the words puppy and cappuccino).

In particular, a puppuccino is essentially whipped cream that’s made specially for dogs. It has that very coffee suffix primarily because it’s made by Starbucks Coffee. But, don’t worry, the doggy treat doesn’t contain any coffee, tea, or caffeine of any kind. It’s just whipped cream with a fun name.

So, Blaise and a friend of hers went down to their local Starbucks on Manhattan Blvd. in Harvey, LA and got themselves a couple of boxes of cups full of whipped cream. From there, she drove to the Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter to bring some joy to the doggos currently seeking shelter there.

In her Facebook post, she wrote:

Today my best friend and I went to Starbucks and got all of our shelter babies a puppuccino. We were extremely excited to do this because these babies deserve it all & we figured a little something would brighten up their day!!”

We want to give a huge thank you to Starbucks on Manhattan Blvd. in Harvey for being so amazing and giving us the treats for our doggos!! They were so happy and we are beyond blessed to have a job surrounded by these wonderful animals! #adopt”

In the uploaded photos and videos, you can see happy puppers going nuts with the puppuccinos, wagging their tails like crazy and licking the cups clean as if it was a rogue piece of peanut butter that fell on the floor while you were making a PBJ sandwich and before you could even react, the dog swooped in.

Some were fed outside of their enclosures, while others were left inside, licking the cups clean through their cage grating. Regardless, you could definitely see their happy faces during and after the process!

Needless to say, this ended in some pretty adorable and hilarious doggy face pics

Needless to say, the internet is known to love feel-good news as well as dog news, and when you put them together, virality happens. Blaise’s Facebook post soon started drawing everyone’s attention, garnering over 24,000 reactions with over 50,000 shares and nearly 10,000 comments.

Unfortunately, around 2.7 million dogs and cats are killed every year because shelters are too full and there aren’t enough homes adopting them. For this reason, don’t forget to adopt, not shop, and, if possible, help out your local shelters by donating money or time and helping animals find forever homes.

The post soon went viral, getting over 24k reactions with 50k shares and nearly 10k comments

It is heartbreaking to think about all this poor animals in shelters. I'm glad someone is brightening their days. But I wish they didn't have to live in a shelter. And yes, I know their are people living in refugee camps. My heart aches for them too. We have so much wealth in this world, but it is concentrated in the hands of so few.

Thank you for brightening their day. It's sad to see so many pit bulls - so sweet, so loyal, so misunderstood.
