Let’s face it. After a life spent dealing with our daily whims and struggles, moms deserve a little pampering from their kids. Whether it’s a fancy vacation to Hawaii or a new pair of slippers (see what better fits your wallet), mom deserves it all. Not everyone can say they have been blessed enough to enjoy the love of a good mother, that person who cherishes you despite all your flaws. If, like me, you’re among the lucky ones, Mother’s Day is the perfect occasion to honor the special bond shared with our moms, grandmothers, stepmoms, and mother figures.
While you think about the gift (sorry, we cannot help you with that), it is also nice to express in words how much your mother means to you. Below you can find some of our favorite great quotes about mothers that are perfect for Mother’s Day. Famous authors, writers, philosophers, celebrities, and even characters in movies have had their own way of expressing how much they appreciated the woman that made them the person they are. You can write down one of these quotes about motherhood in your message or use them for inspiration to create your own. Up to you!

I must admit I have a hard time with the quotes that implies that the most beautiful thing you could do as a mother is to fully sacrifice yourself for the sake of your kids. I know it's a sad reality in many ways but sad mothers don't make happy children. I think we need to re-think that one. I know I, for one, felt like motherhood was a trap (and it sort of is) until I learned the importance to show my kids that being an adult doesn't mean just being sad and to sacrifice. You need to fill YOUR cup with energy so you can bring joy to your kids. Your life should not be over once you have kids.
This is a hard time for those whose mothers are no longer around, however that manifests itself.
