I Spent 200+ Hours To Make A “Pixar Guitar” Featuring Characters From Every Movie They’ve Ever Made

I don’t know which took longer… the designing of this guitar or actually making it! The research alone was painstaking. This guitar represents every Pixar movie to date and includes at least one character from every Pixar movie from Toy Story until now.

Each character took an average of 3 hours to carve but I always had to keep in mind who stood in the foreground of who and work from front to back. Anna and Elsa were first because they stood closer in the foreground. This guitar is the result of over 200 hours of eye squinting carving!

It was really fun to carve but it seemed endless at times because of the amount of detail but I knew in my mind’s eye it would turn out the way I wanted if I just took my time.

This guitar is dedicated to my two little boys. Our whole family (my wife Mona, sons Charlie 7, Oliver 5 and myself) have always held Disney Pixar movies near and dear to our hearts and as the boys get older I never want to forget the many times we spent watching all those magical movies. Making this guitar for myself will preserve those memories.

I really hope you like the pics!

While it is an epic guitar, its not really a "Pixar" guitar. It is a Disney guitar. While all the characters on there are from Disney films they are not all films made by Pixar animation studios. Disney owns Pixar, but Pixar don't make all of Disney's animated films. Pixar have only release 17 films to date.

A little concerned about the tip of the wing on the plane (top right)...might want to take care with it. Anyways, it looks amazing! Very intricate.

My wife said the same thing! The wing is actually 1" deep and runs along the grain (which gives way more strength than across the grain).Plus it is at the end of the guitar where nothing ever touches it. I attach the guitar strap to the back of the guitar as opposed to the end of it so it never comes in contact.

I would be in big poopy with Disney if I made this to make money off of it! The trademarks that go along with Disney items and trying to make a buck off of their property could land me with major lawsuits, fines and penalties. Thanks for the offer though!

Thanks Tee! I only do a guitar maybe once every five or six years, so your guess is as good as mine. Lol . Unless I happen to think up something that really gets me going to do another one. This is my sixth guitar so far and I'm running out of room in my family room.

You are VERY talented. Next time make a guitar with portraits of your wife and kids and pets. I would love to see that masterpiece!
