My name is Katya and I'm an artist from Ukraine. I make the glowing art at my workshop - "The Snowmade". My obsession is everything that glows especially - mushrooms.

For years, I've been learning all kinds of different skills - sculpting, painting, electric-engineering, 3d-modeling and FDM 3d-printing, woodworking and many more, to combine them in my art, and be able to lit the lights of fantasy worlds.

Every aspect of my night lights is a thoughtful and genuine product of my creativity and skills. I don't use intermediate goods and parts -  every night light is entirely done by myself.

Each night light can take from week to half a year to be made.

The mushrooms are made of polymer clay, sculpted and painted by my hands. I draw my inspiration from real-world mushrooms and often alternate their appearance to create some truly otherworldly specimens.

I use high quality stabilized natural plants and moss to decorate my night lights. Those plants are soft, flexible and strong just like the live ones but they wouldn't wither with time. It is not a cheap plastic plants imitations used for aquariums. Those are real flowers and moss that carries a part of forest within them.

To create bases for my night lights I use the 3d-printing technology by my genuine templates to make sure that even the invisible parts of my art would persist the signature quality and look of my works. I only use a PLA plastic which is made of corn starch. This is biodegradable and environment-friendly material.

Miniature Night Light - Mushrooms In Glass Vial

Miniature Night Light - Mushrooms In Glass Vial

"One of a few survivor specimens found in the place that humans call the wanderers' library. Only the thin glass vial preserves the explorer from their poisonous touch in exchange for which, these mutated in a flame of alchemic-catalyst mushrooms will lit their light for the world that is alien to their kind. "

This is my top notch work. It's so tiny yet it has a built-in rechargeable battery that uses a regular phone charger and light is controlled by touch-switch. Touching the base will turn lights onoff.
