I created these artistic hair sculpture creations to help fundraise for the Make A Wish Foundation on these willing people I found across Australia and New Zealand.
Each hairstyle took me 6 -8 hours to complete and involved doing a full head of bleach, dying the volunteers hair the right bright colours, and then hours of teasing, crimping, flat ironing and most importantly spraying the creations into place until they looked like the desired result of a fruity fascinator, crustacean critter, a real life plant, flying friend or anything else in between!
I wanted to replicate Australian and New Zealand iconic landmarks because there are so many BIG landmarks in (some which are in some very rural places might I add) along the east coast and I thought it would be an eventful journey for 30 days to volunteer my time meeting new people across the country, and to get the communities involved in a fun way of fundraising like this.
The Rainbow Roadtrip took me 2 weeks to create, I called over 30 salons and had to organize over 40 volunteers that were willing to have their hair chopped and changed!
Rainbow Roadtrip is proudly sponsored by Manic Panic NYC and NAK Hair and you can click here to donate for the good cause.

This is beautiful, but I don't know where the inspiration came from
So much work went into this- I have 2 variations of blue and it takes so long to do...can imagine you have to be super organized with all these colors
I'm not entirely sure what's going on in this one. Is that an eggplant and the orange things carrots?
Didn't really understand, what are you trying to say by coloring peoples hair and make them into fruitheads? 🤔
